I have wireless connection to a router, and the whole stuff goes down for some days usually at least once east month. I always panic and think it's broken or something, and try to do EVERYTHING in order to avoid or solve it. And whoops, suddenly, it just works again without reason. This time, it was after my 3rd effort to just make the computer automatically choose my IP. Problem is port forwarding now...

Any of you guys have the same prob. with wireless? That it is unstable.

Soory could see i should have posted it in the other forum.

Anyway, I can't do port forwarding all of a sudden from this wireless connection, and I have no idea why. Just shifted suddenly from one day to the other. Of course, it's a lot more effective WITH port forwarding, but just as soon as I start to setup my computer to it, it disconnected. Anyone has any idea what can be wrong here?

If you use port forwarding, you have to set up a static DHCP lease. Did you do that?

What do you mean by that?

I personally hate WLANs. I regularly run into compatibility issues with hardware from different vendors resulting in conntection problems or simply unexpectedly low signal strenghts.

Ok I bought a LAN able, so it's a 85$ wireless USB that is wasted.
