bare in mind though, of course they will be a lot faster come xmas, and there is no garantee they will release a firmware. The fact of the matter is, however, that this year, when they previewed how dual layer burning will be done, they used a Pioneer 106 ![]() I myself am holding on till I upgrade this year. I'll be getting another pioneer probably unless there's a better make/model released. I supsect it will be the 108 or something by then. |

DVDdecryptor for DVD5s and images. Always! If you have a folder of vobs, use imagetool to create an image file and use Dvddecrypter to burn the image. If you have a DVD9, you have many options. But for speed and quality, try either cloneDVD or DVDcopy2 (I use the latter atm). Basically, you put your DVD9 through DVDdecrypter (iso mode and virtual drive if its for cloneDVD, filemode for DVDcopy2). Point your program to the files and then click copy. For compilations or whatever, nero is easiest. |

oh no I believe you, you don't need proof my yound apprentice (although the link is bookmarked now ) ![]() I just want to know about reliability. With zero or nearly zero media on the market, I wouldn't want to comment on compatability and future proof. I have a feeling that hardware specifically designed to burn dual layer would be better than something modded to dual layer was what I was partially hinting at. ![]() ![]() |

Just spotted on my favourite CD shop: http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog ... ion__.html That's the *official* dual layer... but as the NEC 2500a can be updated, you can be a cheap bastard, ?49.98. ![]() Shame its only DVD+9 though ![]() ![]() |
