Looks good spud.. got a few questions..

1) Wat u use for the viurtual desktops
2) Wat u use for that Hdrive readout in the top right
3) U using some kind of thing like Stardock or a somthing ?

Okay I'm reading two actual questions and then an educated guess at the second question

Firstly, I use Hydravision for virtual desktops. It comes with ATI drivers :) There's nview for nvidia if your using one of those.

The drive readouts, the system stats, the desktop items, etc. are indeed all done with Stardock (Stardock DesktopX) which I run ontop of geoshell. Its extremely useful and highly configurable so it stayed after I tried it out.

Very low system usage on both accounts. Infact the only thing that seems to use system resources is emule nowadays, but that sits between 2-11% most of the time (~20-60% @ boot)

used to luv virtual desktops used it all the time in unix shells and later Xwindows... hav never looked into it for PC windows though.

I do not run either Nvidia or ATI cards so no luck there.

I downloaded a copy of Desktop Object recently from emule to look at it but it wasa fake... ;(

I've been playing around with Desktop X, but some things puzzle me.

How do I stop the objects disappearing when I click "show desktop"? Also, I have a weather object but the very start of my location name is missing.

I also tried the Longhorn dock but I couldn't see how to delete the elements I didn't want (like google and dictionary.com) and add ones I do (e.g. D and E drive properties), so I abandoned that.

i got fed up with it so i've dumped it aswell  damn thing kept making noises all the time even though it had all sounds switched off :wacky: so it's back to dull desktop, but i kept the background since i liked that one :)
