I had the same problem with my hamster... turns out it was dead :(

Still a robot to make hamsters would be cool, not at $200 and usb only though :o

wounder way they didn't jusy amke them a reader as well, so you didn't need to take the disks out. Guess they figured it was expensive enough

The price is ok, but for me this system is useless.
1. I can only have a tower with 500 disks. I have much much more than 500 disks, so which one do I put in there? Ok, I can have more than one tower, but this would take space, electricity, and would soon become hard to handle. And I need my USB-connectors for something else, too.

2. I usually don't switch disks that often. Most of my disks contain movies. How often do you think I watch the same movie again? Usually only once. After that it goes into my archive. Sometimes, when I have guests or a friend asks me, I have to get on again, but this is very rare (most of my friends don't speak english good enough to enjoy english movies).

Oh, I forgot: No support for Linux. Would never pay for hardware which is not Linux compatible.

@wargand - "I can only have a tower with 500 disks"

if you look at the full product demo flash thing it says that you can link the towers together across the one usb and have 50,000 disks..... in the demo they have a functional looking setup were behind the computer on the wall there is a shelf with all the case holders.

If you look at my posting, you can read that I am aware that you can have more than one tower ;-)
