Currently have AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67GHz and think it's going kinda slow at times. Not sure what new one to choose though:

AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 2.167GHz, Socket A
333Mhz Bus, 512Kb, Barton - BULK
Prize: 1 055,-

or

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2GHz, Socket A
400Mhz Bus, 512Kb, Barton - BULK
Prize: 1 540,-

What I'm wondering is if there's any noticable difference in 3200+ ? The Hz difference aint very much, but it got that 400Mhz bus...
The prize is 50% more though... waddajasay?

The 400 Mhz bus will make a big difference (assuming your RAM can handle it) but that's a BIG difference in price.

Yes, for power to price ratio its undoubtedly in favour of the 3000+.

If your holding out, I'd wait for the 64 + PCI-E evolution, it really just is on the horizon. PCI-E is really, really fast... I mean this thing has made GFX cards look like a huge bottleneck. And 64 bit processors are coming down in price.

I guess this is just a budget machine though? In that case I'd go for the XP 3000+ if it was my choice... :)

yup, but imo updating cpu on its own is pretty wasteful. Save up some pennies and update everything is a better way to go.

Costs a bit more, but you get a huge boost over a small one you'll get.
