Has some features that sound nice...

The highlights of the 0.43 series of eMule are:
  • PeerCache. A technology developed by Joltid Ltd. which lets you download/upload files from ISP cache servers to reduce traffic and to improve download speeds.
  • HTTP eD2K links. eMule can now download files concurrently from eD2K network as well as from HTTP servers to improve download speed.
  • Windows XP firewall support to help users with LowID problems.
  • More security and efficiency in dealing with malicious, bots or just flawed clients.
  • ZZ's DownloadManager. Get the file(s) you want even faster.
  • Improved ZZ's UploadBandwidthThrottler. Smoother upload and lower overhead.
  • Many improvements in SMIRC client.
  • And a full set of bug fixes and other improvements.
Also, check out the following additional releases:Image
So - download the new eMule client - and have fun. :)

Now we just gotta wait for the new mods..

Cool!
I like the upgrade of the partfile plugin for vlc :beerchug:

And support for HTTP servers :o
Wonder what implications that could have???
Might be nifty :P

its for open source distribution, like torrents, not for piracy i wouldn't have thought. Kind of like how many companies are adopting torrent.

A lot of the new stuff seems to be buried deep withing the app. I've just upgraded to 0.43b and the only option regarding any of those, is a checkbox to disable peercache.
Way too early to tell if any of it will be of use or not unfortunately.

The new method used to determine the time remaining is nice, although I'm not sure if this was introduced in this version or a previous one as I missed 2 minor updates.

For those that haven't read about this, it takes the whole file download history into account, including waiting time, to give a more accurate e.t.a.

Downside being that one of my files now says 51 days remaining

Can't say that I've noticed any drops or problems with performance, so I've no idea.
One thing I have noticed, is that if you've had a film in your que a while before starting the download, then the time reamaining will be inaccurate.
It'll probably work better with files that I start after the upgrade.

Can't say I'm noticing benefits from any of the other additions, although the download manager could work in some situations.
ie. when you have a lot of "asked for another connection".

Anybody found a good way to post a ed2k link with hashset?

Examples:

Aa- Regular:
ed2k: The.Exterminator.Directors.Cut.Dvdrip.Xvid.Dnlbt.avi  [685.37 Mb] [Stats]
-----
Ab- Regular with html:
The.Exterminator.Directors.Cut.Dvdrip.Xvid.Dnlbt.avi
-----
Ba- Hashset:
*couldn't post, messed up the board*
-----
Bb- Hashset html:
The.Exterminator.Directors.Cut.Dvdrip.Xvid.Dnlbt.avi

The two regulars:
Aa- ok
Ab- ok

The two hashsets:
Ba- the board makes only the regular ed2k clickable
Bb- the link doesn't work

The hashset link does work if you past it into emule though. Putting the hashset link in "code" preserves the link on the board, but damn what a mess.

[ Add all 3 links to your ed2k client ]

Yay!!!

MorphXT 4.0 just got released. It's now using the new eMule core. :)

I don't know about anyone else but eMuleV0.42g MorphXT3.5 was crashing a lot for me. Seems to be fixed in the latest version.
