Hi, I am planning to buy the convertx from plextor to cap my VHs and convert them to mpeg or divx on my computer! Anyone who had tryed it! What you think of it? I think a topic about this DV bridge was posted before, Divx will only be one pass on the fly encoding = poor quality or at least not relatable to two pass rips. Which leaves you with DV and MPEG2. I think you'll have to look for a site review to tell you about capture quality, but if you look at the capture thread that's somewhere in the section (posted by monkeysmasher) or look at Crusade or Monster Squad, those come from a Dazzle Hollywood DV-bridge which was one of the best models you could buy when it was released. |
