yeah, its getting a flaming everywhere. It doesn't seem to tackle anything concerning problems with current P2P filesharers.
Forced spyware, closed source, uses magnet links... what's new?

Yes i for one have changed my view of this application totally after reading the Slyck article and listening to Sloncek's interview. I thought the guys at Suprnova made the program but they had nothing to do with it other than hyping it. Another company is making the program and paying Sloncek to be the spokesman for it. Adware/Spyware and who knows what other crap will be in it. Shame on Sloncek and Sn for selling out like that.

SN selling out? Did you happen to miss the plethora of ads on the site?

Yeah but i could make those ads dissapear easily with adblock in firefox. Plus i didn't get spyware installed when i went to the site. With Exeem there will be no choice.

Looks like this will be released next week. I will still probably try it anyway to see what it's like first hand. Just need to have Spybot updated and ready before installing i guess. But i'm sure somebody will release a lite version shortly after.

This idea had so much potential, and they go and fuck it up beyond belief by making 2 of the worst mistakes you can, closed source AND fucking adware.
WTF are they thinking? Are they really trying to kill it before birth?

There's already http://www.exlite.net for a Cydoor free edition. They only have the previous edition but I presume an update will come soon.

I gave it a whirl last night not bad speeds on a TV episode i snagged maybe I was lucky on getting a guy wanting to share,,,its basicly mule with a mac gem skin right down to ed2k style links
exeem://2/f91c9473baf74754d0175335633e85fd97d32db7/The Simpsons Season 16 Episode 06 pdtv-lol.[BT].avi
which I got in around an hour
the one big improvement over mule is you can get multi source parts from other users at the same time, kinda more like a torrent would work but without the need for a tracker, another is not letting one guy have too much to share, hopefully curbing guys who have more share than speed, and also not letting any files under 1mb be upped,,,I guess the comments feature will become an instant nfo style file which can be added to by users who have d/led the file,,,,
theyre claiming once the offical none beta windows versions are released then theyre doing linux then mac versions,,,
for a 1st use it was good,I guess with it having ed2k style links will mean HHAH could evolve and use it among the horror crowd,,,I wouldnt rule this out just yet,,,as multi source at a time d/ls are without question a good thing,,,and I think with it being a central client the old torrents problem of posts dying out too early will end as instead of 5 BT sites hosting the same file among loads of guys,,,it'll be the same file doing the rounds among millions of users,

So, they limit your shares? How many can you have? Does it include the downloads (since they are shared)?

I've been testing this the past week and it doesn't seem bad at all.
(the Exeem-Lite of course).
It still has got it's flaws (like crashing after 2 searches ).
And the last few days I wasn't able to connect at all, until I got a closer look at the FAQ-section on the eXLite-site.
http://kronixsoftware.com/exlite/index.php?showtopic=67
There's the answer to the connection-problems.
Apparently they're working on it in a forthcoming version.
But speeds are getting better along the way.....
We just have to be patient as it evolves.
Allthough now I'm using BT to download Voyager-seasons

I have had a quick go with this too, I tried the lite version, and TBH I aint impressed.
I could not get access to any decent info, half the shit would not connect, the other half was slow as fuck, prolly due to limited users.
I will try it again when it goes final, but I now hold little hope of it being the next big thing.
Oh and it looks shit too.

Yeah they're having some problems getting guys connected with one another. There's a reg fix i found but can't remember where. I wasn't able to connect to anything until i found that fix. Speeds were good about a week ago but lately haven't been good at all. Will have to wait for them to fix that node problem and try again later.

I had to use the fix, still not too impressive.
I honestly do not know if I will ever like this software.

I predict you will leave emule, torrents, Dead-Donkey, and STR within 2 weeks of a final release of Exeem because you will think it's the greatest thing since crotchless panties and will dedicate the rest of your life to the Exeem/Cydoor cause.
