Been trying to get to this site since I got a new DVR 109 to flash. Hope they're back soon.

At around 16:00 GMT today, 16 July 2005, the rpc1.org server stopped responding.

We have not yet determined the cause of the problem, as we are still awaiting a response from the company that physically hosts the server. We expect this downtime is temporary, but at the moment, we have no ETA on when it will be back. It might be a few hours or a few days.

Added note by code65536...

If the downtime persists, then I'll starting mirroring some of the codeguys files, but at the moment, I don't think that the downtime will be that long, and I don't want to upload a lot of files for nothing...

hehe, well with legitimate downtimes its just an annoyance. Will be back, normally they take the opportunity to upgrade.

Downtime of an 'edgey' site on the other hand.

Information about the recent downtime:

At around 16:08 GMT on Saturday, 16 July 2005, our server went down as the result of a corrupted boot record. Things seem to be back up and running again, and as a precaution, we have switched to booting from our secondary hard drive. As this is the second time the server has gone down in the past two months because of a corrupted boot record, we will be keeping a closer eye on this problem.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this downtime, and we thank you for your patience.

Looking at rpc1.org now and there doesn't seem to be much advantage over 1.17 and there isn't a RPC-1 patch available as yet although can be flashed to an A09XL which gives x12 ripping speed.

But you can flash it to a A09XL and have 12x riping. You have to use DVRupdate for that.

You can find everything you need here:
