Post subject:  Trying to run an mdf image

So I download Quake 3 from bittorrent. It ended up being an mdf image with a mds file included. When trying to mount with alcohol120 I got this message -

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. The setup did not start.

So I tried to burn the image with Nero. I wouldnt work. So then I converted the mdf image to iso with magiciso then burned it with nero. After it finished burning I put the disc back in to run the disc. Same message as be4 pop'd up and setup will not run.

Any1 know whats going on here????

you can try burning it with DVDDecrypter, should be capable of burning .mds. files.

Alchol 120% or DVDDecrypter are better for burning images than nero ever will be. I'd go with Germanics advice.

I would comment on how dissapointed you'll be with Quake3, knowing how much it sucks ass :(

ya alcohol 120 worked for burning it.
naw I used to play q3 all the time. I like it. Only reason I downloaded it tho is cause its online patched. Can get into any server. Couldnt pass it up.
