I'm not familiar with that law. I guess, its only really well known by those it affects. Did you get a harsher sentence for the poo in your pants or did you get the nickname after your sphincter was torn up in prison?

He has a true auteurs eye and knows to let each scene play out to its full extent, no matter how much dialogue and classy synth score it takes to fill the time. To the best of my knowledge this Mexican Argeto has never worked with that country's other great cinematic export, Santo, one can only imagine what that dream project would look like. |
You're not taking into consideration these two flicks (which are part 1 and sequel) Operacion 67 and El tesoro de Moctezuma.
These two flicks of course are starred by no one else but SANTO
So... enjoy
BTW, I have both movies, just in case you start searching for it. However quality on both films is bad due to the fact the were cut (f@ckin tv ads, you know?)
Well... Now you know that dream project was in fact DONE

the Evil Dead is one of the best... one of the top 10 to me for sure spudthedestroyer wrote: | I think that most people rate Dawn of the Dead better than Night of the Living Dead (bar some hardened critics who 'don't do sequels')

Yeah, I like "Night" more then "Dawn"
I found "Down" boring and annoying at some times... 30 minutes of dinner at supermarket scene???
"Day" was better to me. It aslo good story, creepy, gory, funny and it has Bob the zombie

Dawn is all depth, tone and social commentary. Its much deeper and i'd argue weightier than the other movies.
I hate sounding like one of those people that looks for too much, but i think in this case its very obvious the intentions and the movies made better because of this added depth.
I'd say those scenes are necessary to establishing dread, and the fact that the open paradise (their upper class meal), is actually a meal in a prison. No matter what luxuries and products they have at their disposal, they are trapped.
I think the ultimate testiment to the depth of the movie is how it suffers in argentos shorter, 90min "european cut", which is more action orientated.
I very much enjoyed Day, but i think its a less meaningful and impacting movie. It was a (small) step on the way to the dumbed down Land of the Dead in that respect. There, the film is devoid of deeper significance.
Night i think was limited mainly by scale, its a great film, but not as great. The absense of deeper scenes of trapment, and the shorter timespan of the movie means its more focused on the horror of that one night, Dawn is about the dead being in control.
That's my view on the series anyway.

Night is a social comment on racism (intentionally or not), Dawn on consumerism, Day on err.... Science gone mad?? and Land is a fairly thinly veiled Class War.
That's my take on them all anyway, I thing George likes to give the impression of making MUCH deeper films than they actually are

Yeah, Land is the worst of the series, but it's not so bad...
It's better then most of the garbage Hollywood made...
After all it still Romero and his style... I enjoyed the Land of the Dead, but all that "Zombie-shooter-sports-for-money" was a silly and crapy to me...
any info of new Chucky movie? Intresting but Bride of Chucky was far better then part 2, 3 and Seed...
Oh, yeah what about Evil Dead remake?

yeah, but Dawn i think is probably his greatest. You can definitely see Night's commentary, its like a "nigger in my house" kind of tone (no offense, but that's what its all about). Combine that with the ending, which some people criticise but i think was a great ending. Better than the remakes ending. To be honest, land of the deads, i can imagine that's what was attempted but its just not there. Quote: | I enjoyed the Land of the Dead, but all that "Zombie-shooter-sports-for-money" was a silly and crapy to me... |
Its an extension of the hanging and target practise of zombies in Night, and the teasing of the zombies in Dawn. Land of the Dead is a little too mad max for something i would have prefered to have been "realistic" and deeper. Nice comment about Child's Play. Bride of Chucky is one of those 'self-reflective' horror movies i always gibber about. That was a really good way of revitalising the franchise. The problem with 2 and 3 is that they were getting increasingly obscure bmovies, and if you don't jazz up the franchise you end up with a mundane set of films like Halloweens, Nightmares or Fridays where each new film has an increasing "meh" factor. I enjoyed Bride of Chucky. Seed of Chucky is on the same branch of the franchise, since it even brings it further and involves Jennifer Tilly as Jennifer Tilly. I'm not quite sure where they should go from there, if they make another they're probably better off renewing it in another way again. Quote: | Oh, yeah what about Evil Dead remake? |
Danny Elfman was criticising Sam Raimi, they had a falling out over spiderman, and last i heard, it was about teh same time, Evil Dead remake was teatering on teh verge of going into production hell. Bruce said he would be producer but won't be in it (beyond maybe doing a cameo). I just think its a bad idea to remake the best film of its kind, Evil Dead 1.
If you look at the front page news archive there's 3 or so entries on the subject.

Yeah, I agree for Evil Dead...
First of all is that no one can replace Bruce Campbell. He had a charm.
I agree for Night too... The Ending was great to me.
Imagine that you fight all night with the horde of the undead, SURVIVE the hell night and then you get killed by the mans who was sent to save you
I Land of the Dead I don't like the "HERO ZOMBIE"...
In all myths zombies are undead creatures who attack first random living person to feed their hunger... And here we get zombie who can actualy think and use his brain (even if his brain is dead)
and the ending was to much Hollywood...

Na, i didn't mind the hero zombie thing to bge honest. Its just like bub 2.0. I'm not against the fact that they can learn basic skills. I just don't think that the mad max shit was right for the franchise, it would have been better if it was a proper of mad max 3. I just have higher standards for the dead franchise.
