lol dont worry i dont care about a media centre, why would use a shitty console for that? only morons do that, if you want a good media centre dont be tight and go buy a proper one, the ps2 is shit as a media centre, the gc isnt one, and the xbox is a shit media centre too, but consoles arent about being media centres, theyre about playing games on, and the best games are ps2 and gc (well the best games are like spud said all on pc but its not a console so has no point in the argument)

The xbox is way better then all those crap xvid standalones, they are anything but 'proper' since most of them can't play crap. The xbox is the only 'proper' standalone solution because quite simply its the only thing with the features, and the hardware to play these things and with a decent picture quality. It is a much better option. Just ask anyone whos seen one in action I would buy one but for the price, I'm perfectly happy with my PC, but sometimes its in use and although stuff can play in the background, I'd rather be chucking back some rips on a different bit of kit, and the xbox is best at that.



Can't agree with that really from my stand point/preference, there's nothing worth owning on the ps2 that isn't there on the PC bar maybe a game or two, that are good but not kill for. Unless your into beat em ups or straight out racing clones, both of which are loathesome in my view Cube is good only because you get Nintendo games imo, and as RE is there to boot, might as well. I was going to sell my cube after I finished all the games, but they announced another Zelda, so I got it so I can pirate it, but i'll still buy really good games.... always do, whatever platform. I own 8 games, 6 are nintendo first party, 1 is RE I got dirt cheap, and the other is PSO for pirating.... everything else is pretty shit and not worth bothering with. It reflects the quality of gaming quite aptly I think. PS2 lineup was terrible which is why I sold my PS2 an age ago. I had it chipped, but I never used the thing. Xbox on the other hand I would have. Okay the games aren't anything i'm interested in, but something to play xvid on when my pc is encoding

That's my logic behind it all PC gets most use, cube is only there for nintendo games, Xbox for skanking life out of the hardware (if i had one) and I wouldn't buy another PS2, it was a waste of my time.

how many more times PC isnt included as its not a console, and ur wrong about the xbox media centre, ive seen them in use, and ive seen my trusty kiss dvd/divx player running and i know which id choose and which i know for a fact of the 2 is more stable and can handle more stuff (games aside as xbox games arent worth shit encrusted toilet paper) and the kiss wins everytime and ive not had a single problem with it unlike xbox owning ppl i know, and for the record i hate beat em ups and racing games coz they bore me to death, i mainly own a ps2 simply for the ps versions of resident evil and thats about it, the only racing games i can stand are the burnout games as you can crash your cars, and the driver series

i completed resident evil 0 today and i get the feeling the rest of you miserable maggots (time to stop playing atmosfear i think, im starting to refer to everyone as maggots) missed the entire ending, allow em to explain, rebbecca meets billy, thy fight zombies and shit, they gradually move towards raccoon city (as we see familiar locales from re2) then they escape and on the mountain rebbecca sees spencer mansion where she was informed earlier her S.T.A.R.S team were supposed to rendezvous and regroup so she heads there while billy (after presumably slamming her hard offscreen) heads off into freedom again , altho rebbecca does file the fake report after re1 happens saying billy is dead (its in the files in RE2 Ex for n64 or gc i forget which), and she heads to spencer mansion to be reunited with her (now dead) team and as we know from re1 she is attacked by the monsters lurking in spencer mansion before she is found by chris (wouldnt it be funnier if she had sprayed mace on him instead)

and dont get me wrong while resident evil 0 had its good points and i still found it enjoyable enough there was a lot of backtracking which was annoying and the whole leech thing was a bit strange but in the world of resident evil strange doesnt even begin to describe it

i did like the character zapping system and the removal of crates didnt bother me that much as i found it easier to just drop things and get them later, for instance drop ink ribbons by typewriters so theres always some there when u need them, and such like, altho it did have some disadvantages when u need to carry stuff and ur loaded up with weapons, the final boss didnt seem all that difficult either, dr. marcus or the leech queen, but i still enjoyed it and the inclusion of some familiar points of raccoon city was a nice touch, if you want to see a resident evil game thats released jsut to cash in on the name then take a look at the dreadful light gun resident evils (survivor, code veronica 2, dead aim) coz theyre terrible, resident evil 0 to me was like a nice add on pack to wet the appetite for re4

There's also a shenmue thing going on with this game btw, notice the green tap button gameplay in some of the pictures and movies. The GCN pad is centred round one action button which I'm assuming is the choice behind implementation here.

Played it and it works really well around the GCN pad. You need to use the action button to kick and smash through windows.

Controls are a tad clunky, like all RE games, gfx are nice (if blurry!) but it plays very nice if a bit hard to control at first.

The best news is, after completing the demo, although I wasn't too impressed first time, I really want to play it again. So thats a very good sign!
