Devil Man parts 1 & 2 are good examples of anime horror, especially if you are into Lovecraft.

If you are willing to go outside of the horror theme then there are MANY great series out there.

A good site to get information about the latest anime being screened right now in japan and also old series with reviews by fans etc http://www.animenfo.com

Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke): Fantastic movie by one of the most critically acclaimed studios in japan, the ones that brought out Spirited Away just recently.

Bubblegum Crisis 2040: Not just an update on the original, this series goes far beyond the first in style and story.

Love Hina: This is a love/comedy type about a guy that is forced to live in a dorm full of girls. A little fanservice but a VERY good story and lots of funny moments.

Magic Knights Rayearth: By CLAMP the best story based manga group around. Magical girl type series with the only good mecha type battles in anime (i HATE mecha anime but love this series)

A bit late, but: I practically grew up on animes as Captain Harlock, Goldrake, Conan, Fist of the North Star and Lupin 3

Some of my recomendations would be:
almost everything from Hayao Miyazaki
Akira - a must!
Angel's Egg
Armitage
Berserk
Blood - TLV
City Hunter
Cowboy Bebop
Ebichu - hamsters/sex :)
Full Metal Panic
Ghost in the Shell
Grave of the Fireflies
Hakkenden: Legend of the Dog Warriors
Hellsing
Ippatu Kikimusume
Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Kite
Metropolis
Neo Tokyo
Ninja Scroll
Noir
Petshop of Horrors
Slayers
Spring and Chaos
Vampire Hunter
Voices of a Distant Star

I'm using http://www.anidb.net to search for ed2k links.

OVA, OAV: Short for Original Animated Video (OAV), or sometimes Original Video Animation (OVA), refers to an animated feature that was produced specifically for the home video market, bypassing broadcast, cable and theatrical releases.

Didn't see the movie, but the anime is great and probably much better - Jackie Chan isn't really obsessed with sex, right? A year or two ago I even had to postpone regular friday pubbing by an hour because of reruns. The only down is that there are 140 episodes of which only 25 are available.

hmm.. not sex i guess, but he's crazy about some girl, if I remember correctly. And eating (as everyone seams to be in asian cinema) It's one of the best Jackie Chan flicks IMO. Laughterwise that is.

And on that quote :

I've clicked a few animes, the ones I remember seeing but don't remember to get me started (i.e. ones I know I liked before!)

And SR has just posted City Hunter Series 1 - DVD Rips :D

Anyway, Final question is :

Hentai - What is it?

Coz if it is just anime Hardcore Pr0n, then I won't bother with it

But if there are some good Hentai flix I don't mind the sex, just don't see the point in watching cartoon pr0n!
If it's like a normal anime i.e story line, action, comedy etc but with SEX as well, then might be worth checking out the good ones?

I remember watching a few on Sc-Fi channel at midnight on Saturdays on Sky Digital, and they were bizzarre

Yep, hentai is mostly anime hardcore porn with addition of demons, tentacles and school uniforms. Kite is highly recommended and you could try with Bible Black or Mystery of Necronomicon for a bit of horror, Ogenki Clinic as comedy or Sailor Moon and the 7 Ballz as hentai Troma.

I like a lot of the Hentai but I think its released in Japan as quick as we release new adverts for coke or pepsi

Its usually good quality but there is a small amount of crap chucked out.

Check out http://www.animetric.com/hindex.html
for reviews of the most popular stuff

Craftee

ps check out the "Cool Devices" series for some really weird porn/rape stuff
