just wondering how you got the inside info, mr tak.
from that script/synopsis thing were freddy appears in hell as jason's mother, and they make a jailbreak.
jason gets pissed for being tricked.

i would guess neither one would die permanently. in most of the f13th's , jason is able to regenerates damage quickly(like wolverine), supernatural strength, and high pain tolerance- and sometimes no pain at all. I wont even get into his ability to teleport when stalking, that may just be a plot conveyance. While freddy can alter his shape and the area he is in at will.

im sure the only survivor will be the female lead. at least till part 2.

you mean that chick from destiny?s child? trailer don?t look very good, i bet it will be centered on those teenage brats with freddy and jason just running around in the background.

haha, i never watched the trailors for freddy vs jason, but i really doubt that (beside having two different franchises in the same film) there will be anything astonishing or too original in the plot.

guess i should watch the movie before giving my opinion, but that has never stopped me before.

@ Mr Smasher, I speak to someone who was apparently at the world premiere, he is usually reliable with these sorta things, but as usual only time will tell. I do know more psecific details from the fella, but I refuse to say for 2 reasons, reason 1 is that if I am wrong I look like a tit, and reason 2 is that I do not wish to spoil the movie for anyone.

One other snippet I heard is that the novelisation of the film actually ends differently to the movie, however not seeing the movie or reading the novel I cannot say how accurate this is.

SPOLER SPACE

Various things happen and Freddy ends up decapitated, but apparently it is not Jason who decapitates him, although he does stab him with his own claw. One thing that I seriously hope is not true is that apparently Jason walks off carrying Freddies head, and the head winks ?!?!?!? WTF is that all about?

Jason WILL win, guaranteed. Makes sense to leave Freddy barely living, though, as it adds realism to both of their apparant invincibility.

Thing is, it's already been proved that Freddy can be killed - ain't nobody ever killed Jason. The "drowning" don't count!!!

Freddy and Jason can be beaten, but never killed. We already know Jason survives cos of Jason X, and how the hell can you really kill someone who lives in a dream dimension? If they do make a series of movies from this it will be one wins this, the other wins the next, and "maybe" one or both die in the final film.

I just love Freddy
Nightmare on Elm Street was the first horror film I ever saw I was about 12 or 13 at the time and that night I actually dreamed of him chasing me and scratching my arm , I woke up in the morning with a huge scratch(probably was my cat  ) but I was hooked on horror ever since. So me and Freddy go way back

ahh, freddy and jason will still 'live' long after we are dead. even if they do 'finally, for the last time, no way around it' die', they'll be in a sequal, or a remake 50 years from now. or a saturday morninig cartoon, where freddy and a group of kids travel around solving crimes. i'd call it 'freddy Inc., and the teen dream team'

dammit, what i meant to saywas

'spoilers'

The movie begins with flashbacks of Freddy Krueger getting let go by the courts, then leading up to the night of his murder by the towns people of Springwood. Throughout all this Freddy is narrating and then ends with a chilling "They have buried their crime, but not the memory...Welcome to my Nightmare"! After that we see Freddy trapped in the confines of Hell rendered powerless. We then learn that the reason is because the parents of Springwood have been stuffing their children with the dream suppressant drug Hyptnocil ( seen in NOES 3). No dreams, no Freddy right? With that, Freddy has no power and has to roam the bowells of hell, which does not sit well with him at all. Then Freddy gets an idea..to use Jason Voorhees to instill fear back into the children, so he can return to do what he does best. In one scene that i found to be kinda interesting is when Freddy manisfests himslef in the image of Jason's mother ( no....its not Betsy Palmer ) and convinces him that his work is not done and to go back and kill. Now Freddys plan is in motion
There is a cornfield party that he slices and dices and he and Freddy get to split a kill in. The final battle actually takes place at camp crystal lake, where Jason and Freddy have the best fight in horror history. Its like watching the monsters on speed. people were going nuts. you see a lot of retarded jason and even normal freddy. there is aboslutely no tommy jarvis, but heather langenkamp gets a shout out. they had a montage with clips from previous freddy movies but none from Jason's so that pissed me off a little. i was shocked to see mrs. vorhees appear (in an unexpected way) so it seems like this movie has details for the real fans to enjoy. its basically a big bloody fight that will leave fans of both guys (and gore in general) satisfied. i didnt really like the ending which was a groaner. otherwise it was a really good time and just what i was hoping for. robert englund fans will be totally satisfied

end spoilers,,start my mumbbles.

using a variation of my intareview omatic, i just stole other peoples work, now it seems like i know about the movie, but i havent even read the above. i just copy and pasted from two reviews between the personal opinions portion of the reviewers.

I had to skip a bunch of posts
thanks for the heads up on the spoilers.

I got like 1.4 gigs so far
Im gonna be watching this in about an hour
so im just killing time till it finishes and i unrar it.
Im pretty excited to see this. but the overall video quality vote tally of the loGisTic rip keeps going down. it was like 5.8 when i started downloading now its 4.9. 4.9 sucks
I'll watch any copy of this tho - i should be at the theatre.
I cant wait to hear that classic jason sound effect and lots of blood too splattering.

Seeing them together on the big screen was worth the $7.75, but having to put up with the rest of the movie was a very trying experience. Oh and hearing the classic Nightmare theme mixed up with Friday sounds was... umm neat-a-roo!

Maybe someone will make a cut version of just them fighting or better yet set up a WWE match. With Ash as the ref. of course.
