'exuse me, usher, that man sitting in fron of me's tophat keeps making a 'wirring' noise, and the blinking red light is seriously distracting, especlially when he had to change the tape.'

the previews for house of the dead look good, but almost every review ive seen said it sucked walnuts.

http://www.creature-corner.com/reviews/hod.php3

apparently it sucks so bad it drains the reviews of movies next to it.

Just got back from Leeds today after being there all week! I went to the Night of the Dead - it was so cool apart from House of the Dead which I left halfway through so I could get stoned in time for the last two films! Saw Kill Bill on the Friday night too that is the shit you lot gonna love it!

As for the other films - Bubba Ho Tep was a big let down! Bruce's worst film yet IMO but other people seemed to enjoy it. For me it was too basic and over before it got going.

Undead is amazing and Mucha Sangre is just so twisted! It rules. Was almost falling asleep when Beyond Re-Animator came on but it was so dope I managed to stay awake for it!

Sorry I never told any of you guys I was going, I guess I was scared by all those stories about freaks off the internet!

Got to go get my Battle Royale 2 ticket next for when they are showing that in London!

I see your point to buba hotep!

It didn't really get started and when it ended i felt like it wasn't really finished.

But I really enjoyed watching it! And am a huge fan of bruce so am biased, but thought he was excellent.

The film wasn't really a horror, I was expecting some gore/violence, but it went for a different angle which I liked

As for House of the Dead, the best part of that was when the reel snapped, and we got to have a break from it

Enjoyed Undead/Mucha Sangre on the big screen so it was a good night of films really!!

Yeah I am a big Bruce fan too but even Maniac Cop was better than Bubba! To me, Bruce was barely recognisable as an old impotent Elvis! Maybe that's a reflection of his amazing acting abilities though!

The reel snapping really was a relief on House of the Dead! Snapped me out of the trance that all that super-fast crazy editing put me in! What a load of wank, not even Clint Howard could save that one!

But don't get me wrong! It was an amazing night! We need more horror all-nighters at cinemas everywhere!

Oh and shame about those loser hosts that came on and chatted shit between every film

Piss off the stage and start the bloody film then :matrix:

But yeah was a wicked night.

We should have a HHAH get together and watch some of the films we download, becuase I know alot of us don't get round to watching them, only the popular ones , like Undead etc!!!

But I've been to all 3 horror all nighters at the Leeds Film Fest. and hope they continue to do them!

maybe you guys could start saving up for next years all nighter

It will be this time next year!

So no excuses

I have to defend bubba ho-tep, i knew going in there would be no blood and guts, I'd read up on it. There's a thread over at fileheaven.org, I thought the film was hilarious, Bruce's acting along with Ossie Davis' was top notch, well they all were great, supporting cast too. The showdown at the end is brilliant too :)

The only dissapointment with it for me was that the seats in the cinema are terrible and there is less leg room than an eco-save cheapo air flight, man it's painful sitting there. Next time I'm taking a deck chair and gonna sit in the aisle :D

lol, that was hilarious... the calls to leave bubba ho-tep playing when a clip of it was shown summed up the suckiness of House of the Dead

Just found this thread while doing a search for something else, and now I'm annoyed.
How on earth have I been unaware of a horror all nighter at the festival all this time???
I've lived in Leeds since '99 and check the schedule every year :(

I'm layin' off the beer before I read it this year

Dia :wacky:
How did you miss it!!!

I've been to the past 3 horror all nighters.

They have like a FULL page advert in the festival programme :P

I'm really hoping they continue one this year and that it's as good as the last ones (barring House of the Dead  )

I usually check it out on the net, although that still doesn't explain how I missed it completely.

I'll be especially careful this year though, not missing it again :D

Out of curiosity, which cinema was it shown at?

Hyde Park Picture House, everytime!

Don't worry it'll get posted here also as some people on the board do live in the area so you shouldn't miss it this year
