Shit - Yeah.

Man they were hefty things, weren't they!

I dread to think though of the types of horror films that were probably on the shelf when I was renting as a kid and not even bothered.
All I remember is being scared by the covers.

Like It's Alive, especially, I remember that cover!

Wow max. That's freaky. I remember those BASF ones. :D
They weighed about the same as a housebrick as i recall. Remember pushing that slidy bit down causing the tape protector to retract. Hours of fun for all the family! No player needed. :D

Well that settles it then. Let the quest for the player commence. Leave no stone unturned, no quarter shall be given, no prisoners taken, nothing must stand in your way as you venture forwards against all odds, and head towards that holiest of holy grails ( :jesus: TM) that is Thomas the Tank Engine, and the steam railway documentary :o

I've never witnessed the televisual feast that is Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, but i am aware of it's existence. I am also aware that the speakage which regails one's ears while partaking of this optical extravaganza, belongs to.........none other than.........a bunch of talking engines with faces!

Where on earth did they find these things? :o

Thomas the Tank Engine? or documentaries about steam engines?

Either way, i'm fully aware of what i'm missing. After a nanosecond of long hard thinking, i have concluded that any absence of interest in either of the aforementioned titles is purely intentional on my part.

I don't think that this is the kind of wordage which accurately portrays the mood that i happen to be harboring tonight my dear maximus. A somewhat curious supposition to be casting in my general direction of placement, if i might be so bold as to make suggestable to you dear sir. :o

You have no way of even beginning to contemplate the gravity of the guffaw which eminated, nay, thrust itself even, from the deepest, darkest sanctum of my inner self upon reading your previous repost maximillian.
You truly have had bestowed upon you the most admirable gift of wordsmithery that such a humble amateur as myself would be yearnful to touch, or even per chance to fully obtain. I shall bow to you my dear sir, and assume my rightful, subserviant placement, at the feet of the almighty master, the one who says...."yes"

I don't have a video2000 player, but I have 3 betamax players - this is the first fucker I got, I had to carry it myself all the way across London when I bought it off somebody from Loot! It weighed a ton and was massive, I was crippled when I get home

Actually I was sat a bench with it getting my breath, and some crackhead came up to me and wanted to buy it for ?50! Maybe he wanted it for his nasties too.

Yeah I think at least 2 of my betamax players still work, but it's been like 3 years since I used them, and their at my parents house at the moment. Probably won't be back up there for a few months, but if I can get 2 working, you can have one for free Max, you just pay the postage. If you want it. And it's not a fucking behemoth like that one in the pic up there, but it's still top-loading. I got one for free in the same way, somebody posted on a messageboard with the same offer, so now I have 3, I should give a little back

Did you look at that eBay link up there? Only 12 hours to go!!

man, must have watched 'bloody new year' 60 some times. i dont know why, some kind of sickness maybe, but i still couldnt really tell you the plot, or any of the character's names besides one is named 'spud.'
something about a timewarp, planecrash, newyears eve, demontype nets, really no point to why any of the monsters are there. hmmmmmm.
i do have a form of epilepsy, it may be the flashes of light during it kind of give me a seizure and release endorphines or something into my brain, almost makes more sense then my curent theory i;m going with, that my copy is cursed, or possibly possessed, by harry dean anderson's hairstyle.

errm, but the actual # of movies i probably watched.......alot. ive been trying to become a shut-in, humongously fat guy, and i watch movies all day. i didnt watch tv as a kid(we didnt have one), only occasionally at other peoples houses, but when i got outa the marines, dude gave me his vhs collection in lieu of some money he owed me, so i had like 4000 vhs tapes, mostly horror. i probably watched more then half of them when i started using my capture card to put them on cds, but they steadily got to be worse and worse crapfest of shit movies, i gave up sitting thru them after 'demonkeeper' and 'garbage pail kids' was really the last straw. one of the bad things is i remember in pretty good detail everything about every movie ive seen.
