Spookies (1985): Movie with a rare spooky  atmosphere. It has so many strange monsters that you could easily make them fit into 3 movies. I found the accent of the main villain pretty funny. The special effects were good but they couldn't hide the fact that this is obviously a B-movie. Acting was passable too. Recommended if you want to see something uncommon.

Dark City (1998): A unique experience. At the beginning pretty confusing but I liked it. Great script and good acting.

and the film The Matrix ripped off quite significantly. Even has the same sets that were left over (check out the intro of matrix ;) )...

Yes, yes! I couldn't agree more! Dark City is one of my all time favs, and not only because of Jennifer!

yesterday I saw a piece of crap called

Killer Barbys vs Dracula - no storyline, bad acting, idiotic use of colouring filters: this was clearly one of Francos worst efforts. If you love bad movies to laugh at them, check this one out. If you don't avoid it like the plague, you will regret having watched it and end up posting it [url=http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=17842]here[/here].

Parasite (1982): Average movie with a boring story. For some reason the creators forgot to mention (by giving a date) that this takes place in the future (although reading the reviews it is 1992). Therefore I was a bit surprised to see laser pistols and true silver being the only accepted currency. The actors definitely saved this from being a bad movie. There are only a few gore scenes which in turn are pretty well done. Recommended if you are a fan of Demi Moore or parasite like creatures.

Hey, noticing that you have this complete by now, could you give us a reshare? Or is it the FS version you watched?

Last night I watched:

Desert of Blood - a pretty entertaining and decently enough made vampire flick which takes place in Mexico. Enough babes to enjoy and the few vampire action scenes are OK. Some recommendation: not a memorable classic, but still quite good for an evening to fill.

No, it was the widescreen version. I have it shared with "Release" priority and left some more info regarding this in the topic of the movie. Click the movie's title in my post above.

Wednesday I watched:

Astro Zombies - bad movie, only funny in a few moments. Campy, though. The word zombies isn't exactly justified: it's only one zombie actually, although at one moment there are two.

The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-up Zombies - well, what can I say. I gave it a new title: The Incredibly Strange Movie Who Stopped Trying and Became Mixed-up Bullshit.

Yesterday I watched:

The Great Alligator - boring, boring, boring and then all of a sudden it becomes interesting (after like 45 mins). It turns out that loads of people are getting killed, either by a gigantic alligator or by a local tribe gone angry. The location is "the orient" (wherever that may be), and in "the orient" there are elephants, grey herons, orangutans and hippos. ???

30 Days of Night - decent vampire flick. It reminded me much of The Thing in the first hour or so. After having read about the ending being bad, I expected something really, really bad, so actually I thought it was a little OK. It still could have been much better of course, but it wasn't like
Spoiler:
Josh Hartnett turned back into human or something, or that he didn't die, which I had expected

Death Race (1975): This was a relief compared to zombie and monster movies that I watched in the last few weaks. A well done piss take of the media and the american nation being addicted to television shows. It was entertaining in every single minute and I also liked Stallone in it. Of course it also had some titties. :D

Voices from Beyond - pretty boring Fulci and the voices a re not even all "from beyond". He dedicated this to his friends, I hope they didn't hold it against him.

The Slaughter - for a while I thought "hey, this might be a decent movie" but then it got ruined again by sheer stupidity. The ending, I mean: come on! How cliche can you go? "The ultimate sacrifice" woohoo, now we're excited!! :wacky:

Garden of Love - nice gorefest. I love Ittenbach BS and this movie is no difference, except for the fact that Olaf didn't need 100 mins or more to make his point (which is a good thing). The gore is great again, the story mediocre, he has made better ones, but also much worse ones.

The Company of Wolves (1984): At the end this movie was more confusing than fantasy for me. Heaving read some reviews on ImDb I can now understand the deeper thoughts that are hidden in this film. I enjoyed it though and it looks very good for its age. Just like me, who was born in 1984 as well.

I'm one of the few who actually watch movies, so here it goes again

The Sinful Dwarf - an attic full of drugged women exploited by a dwarf and his mother. Weird film, but it kept me watching, enjoyable flick.

Blood Car - funny movie about a vegan guy who invents a car that runs on blood. Good jokes, it's a shame that the best one is so early in the movie. The ending was somewhat over the top, but even that was enjoyable. Recommended.

Yesterday I wen to the theater and I saw

The Ruins - enjoybale movie about students who go on a trip to an old Maya temple which is not on the map. Some scaremoments(not too many, which is a good thing) which didn't scare me but it did scare most of the rest of the audience, some really gory scenes and the monster is great. There actually went some thinking into it. I also thought it was quite original, except for the students of course. With four elderly instead of them it would be very original ;)

Just now I watched:

Don't Open The Door - cliche psycho killer flick. You realize very soon who the killer is. Ending is OK, but overall kind of mediocre.

The Alien Factor - cheesy alien monster movie with campy effects. Recommended for bad movie fans.

Le Notti Del Terrore (1981): I expected too much from this. It turned out to be a gory zombie flick with nothing more than people getting killed and eaten by zombies all through the end. This has some nice scenes for the "exploding heads" collection.

The Midnight Hour (1985): An entertaining comedy like horror with a romantic touch. There are lots of well known actors in this one, but that doesn't make it any special. It was OK.

The Burning (1981): Atmospheric slasher with some good gore scenes. Highly recommended!

The Burning is a good movie indeed.

I have been watching:

Elves - hilarious movie with an orc like elf monster and nazis. Recommended highly if you love bad movies.

Ex-Drummer - a Herman Brusselamns book put to film. Overall cynicism, familiar for Brusselmans readers. Sometimes funny, sometimes dull, the atmosphere is kind of desperate. When you're not Flemish, you will need the subs.

Full Moon High (1981): Quite weird werewolf movie. Overall the word "stupid" pretty much sums it up. I had some good laughs with this one and the characters are nice but the story development is such a mess that you shouldn't look for any logic here.

Day before yesterday:

The Atrocity Exhibition - WEIRD!! We see the decline of a man's mind, filmed by himself. Some gruesome footage of Hiroshima, and lots of things which seem to make sense, but don't. Or the other way around. Very weird.

Zombie Town - mix between alien- and zombieflick. Nice, gory enough, some original aspects to the story. Not very special, but OK.

Yesterday:

Verdun, visions d'histoire - wow, a two and a half hour lasting epos about the Battle of Verdun in 1916. It is a silent movie, with frequent intertitles in French, which sometimes made the English subs invisible. Although this is one of the longer films I have seen, it was very entertaining, especially if you take into account that this film is from 1928. Recommended.

Capitaine Conan - a movie about a rampaging captain and his men, who are actually a gang of murderers. They take pleasure in killing enemies with knives immediately after a fight, or during the fight. They "forget to take prisoners" all the time. When the war ends in 1918, they have difficulties adapting to civilian life. The film turns into a court martial film then, and although it was still quite enjoyable, this part was a little too long. Luckily for Conan and his pals, there are bolsheviks to fight in 1919, so they can take up their old lives again. This film is shorter than "Verdun...", but still clocks in at 2h 06m. Recommended.

Day before yesterday:

The Killer Shrews - 50s classic shite movie with a science team which created giant shrews. Now the shrews get hungry and all other food has run out. I really liked to watch the dogs dressed up as shrews, it was hilarious!

Black Roses - demonic band influences the youth of a small town. Excellent parody on the fear pop music can spread through conservative communities.

Yesterday:

Rats, night of terror - rats are everywhere and they are carnivorous in this post nuclear world. The entire film plays out in a building, so you don't really notice that it is a post nuclear world. The rats get thrown in by someone offscreen, although I think the filmmaker tried to create the illusion of them jumping down.

Bloodsucking Babes from Burbank - no budget crapper about two competing student teams in archaeology. One team gets hold of a jewelbox and when they open it, they turn into very fake looking monsters (plastic vampire teeth, anyone?) who bite other people. Very long and extremely stupid, it has several moments in which I laughed out loud because the film was so ridiculous. Recommended for bad moviefans.

The People Under The Stairs (1991):
A sadistic brother and sitser kidnap children and raise them as their own. As soon as they become unsatisfied with them, they lock and torture them in the cellar. A black boy breaks into their house to steal some money. He must join forces with "the people under the stairs" to get out of there. Great movie! Original story and very good acting.

The Brain (1988):
Nice movie too. A funny huge brain as the main big boss and brainwashed people who try to protect it against a high school student that is able to resists the brain's hypnotical power. Recommended.
