I just watched this and I have to say that it was a complete piece of turd. One of the worst "horror" movies I've seen in a long time, and trust me the film really has to be bad for me to come to the forums and say all this.

I don't understand why the new film makers like Darren Lynn Bousman (or is it the editor's fault) think it's a good idea to make like ten cuts per second and use these common sound effects to create tension. For me, all it does is to kill the suspense totally. For example, they pick a detail like a hack saw then show it from a few different angles within a second (cut-cut-cut-cut) and add this very dramatic sound effect. This is not good film making. It could work if it was used with care, but now the whole film is like that. It becomes tedious in 5 minutes or so. It's MTV crap and belongs to music videos.

Then there's the plot. Since this is a sequel, everything has to be bigger. More people, more rooms. Traps are pretty cool, but haven't we seen all this in the first part? Naturally there's the plot twist which I'd like to give away so no one would watch this piece of crap, but I guess I'll be a good boy and won't do that.

And the actors. Donnie Wahlberg is angry. All the time. I don't mean angry in a good way like Joe Pesci or Al Pacino in their good days, but I mean angry like a little terrier. He's such a bad actor that his cursing is nothing but funny. The rest of the cast are also the same stereotypes that'll make you cringe.

I did like the first Saw. I thought it was pretty entertaining and an alright debut movie where Wan takes the full directoral credit. But this is awful. Avoid at all costs.

Haven't seen it yet, but seeing as the description sounds exactly the same as the first Saw movie, I'm not holding out much hope.

I liked it a bit actually. Although the editing seriously annoyed me, it's not too bad for a new horror movie.
Laughed my ass off at the part where the girl puts her hand in the thing on the ceiling to get the antidote, and when she notices her hand is stuck, she puts her other hand in too. And that while she could've just lifted the knives with her other hand and get out. :wacky:
