I hope so, We need some famous directors to do something new in horror movies. I hate digital effects, make-up forever!

found another one: http://www.massdestraction.com/2391-Gri ... ailer.html
It has a lower res, and has an ugly logo in the left bottom. But still watchable.

Isn't that Lux's tagline? :wacky: :googley:

This looks promising, but I hope it doesn't look all shitty like the trailer does.

Here's the official site for the movie. It takes some time to load, but then you can watch pics, the trailer (done in a nice old fashion with lots of "burning spots" and the like) and you can play a lame game with some of the characters in the movies by picking up weapons and shooting stuff.

I'm really gonna look forward to Rose McGowan's machinegunleg!!

Bad news: Grindhouse will be distributed outside the US only as two different movies. Maybe we'll even have to do without the fake trailers

I just saw Grindhouse today and my goodness is it amazing. Has anyone else seen this? I thought there would be more discussion on it.

Planet Terror was the better of the two and full of gory zombie action. Great action, story, cast, thrills, everything. Death Proof takes longer to get going but the dialogue is important to the story and once the chases start it doesn't let up. The car crashes/chase scenes are superb. Same great things as Planet Terror.

The fake trailers are also great. The best of which is Roth's Thanksgiving, which I would love to see as a real movie.

Overall, it was one hell of a fun movie and definitely had the feeling and spirit of real Grindhouse flicks.

Aren't the fake trailers real segments for the sequel movie?

All due respect to Macready but I'm afraid death proof will somewhat ruin this experience for me . :(

I don't think so given that it has underperformed so far at the US box office, although it's bound to turn a profit eventually on DVD etc.

Robert Rodriguez's Machete, however, is to be made as an STV feature.
