Well, you could always go with the Godfather of gore in Herschel
Gordon Lewis. Some of his stuff is pretty rough to sit through (in
a non-entertaining sort of way) but 2000 Maniacs is pretty darn
good (gorey).

No discussion of gore is complete without a mention of the Guinea Pig videos, so I suppose I'll mention them!

The first 2 are the main ones to watch, more so the 2nd. They're not movies, there's no real story, just torture & mutilation with the FX intended to be as real as possible.

well of course i would say the august mordem stuff but yes there are quite a few rape scenes etc so thats no good

and herschell of course was mentioned!

try some old school stuff like "creepers" dario argento

hillside cannibals is a great modern flick

exorcist "the beginning" if u havent already seen it

a great toung in cheek zombie flick i got a few months back is" the dead next door" where some of the charcters are named after famous horror personalites " such as "dr king" dr savini" and commander rami" to name but a few

it is packed with corny but nasty gore and one of my poersonal faves

i highly reccomend "beyond the darkness" old school italian necro flick wich i firmly believe inspired peter jackson to make braindead

if u like stuff like warriors etc check out jim van bebbers work with one of his first films called"deadbeat by dawn " ultra gorey gang, street fighting " flick above ricky o is mentioned wich is one of his films also!!

henry potrait of a serial killer ,evil enko, and the dahmer film are all must haves too!!

thats all for now i will check this post in a few days to see if i can help wioth any more!! happy viewing duder!!

i think the movie is "in the skin"...i'm a horror fanatic...but that movie i couldnt sit thru it, i guess coz the gal is pretty gnarly to begin with, and seeing her knawing her own flesh makes me double puke. haha....so try that out.

all the gore stuff i've been watching is pretty mainstream.

try HAZE. i got it but havnt watched it yet..but ppl compared it to CUBE+SAW mixed in a blender.
i recommend CUBE (part 1)...it's got some nice gore...and fantastic story.

the last supper (japanese) was great f/x but maybe the idea would be appealing in a gory sense.
