or lack of...
I'm a bit confused, I watched Halloween H20 last night fot the first time, are we supposed to discard the events of films 4-6 (and 3 obviously!) so that the time line goes H1->h2->h20->Resurrection??

And not only that, I've seen it but I can't remember how Michael recovers from being decapitated at the end of H20 to re-appear in Resurrection, can anyone enlighten me?

I have also wondered on the order this shit is supposed to happen.

Can you say Halloween 1-8 anymore?

Welcome to Horror sequel Hell,where they really don't care about establishing a beleivable ressurection of your horror hero.It's been going on since Dracula and Frankenstien.The worsed has to be Godzilla,where in some cases they act as if there were no other movies made before it.Friday the 13th also follows this pattern because after #4 he was supposed to be minced meat. :roll:

From what I can gather there are 3 seperate timelins and story lines within the Hallloween series and they are (in no particular order) :-

Storyline 1 : H1->H2->H4->H5->H6
Storyline 2 : H1->H2->H20->Hresurrection->H9(if it happens)
Storyline 3 : H3

Halloween is a weird series, it's fragmented more than my emule drive !

It's not so much the resurrection thing, it's the fact that the films don't follow on from each other, even F13th makes an effort to make sure that the films follow on from each other !!

I am not to sure...As I remember correctly Tommy hacks him into little bits with the Machete...I won't even comment on the sequel to that one...then in #6 there he is...lieing there in one peice in a grave...albiet wormfood but in one peice none the less.As far as Halloween goes,he should have been bits and chunks after the explosion in #2.Small wonder why the sequel had absolutley nothing to do with Michael and everything to do with beeing complete shit.I know,they try and explain it away in #4 but common..he was charcoal :wink:

Hmmm... maybe it is some sort of sick game. The writers/directors of the previous one kill the bad guy off the best way they can and then let the next group try to figure out how to bring him/it/she/ back. If the writer/director are the same as the previous then they just have too much fun playing with themselves. :D

The results are not always good ones. :|

Well...to be honest..as ridiculous as all the sequels are to Jaws..I did get to see Jaws 3-D in the theatre back when it came out.For that reason alone I liked that movie..even though the shark was not made up that well.At least Jaws 4 has a realistic looking shark and the ski-do scene with the little kiddies and the lady getting her leg taken off was good.It's just to bad Michael Cain couldn't have gotten ate..although I dought he would taste very apettizing,even for a shark.
I did read the original Jaws and that was a pretty good book...although they cut alot of the book out of the movie..namely the love affair between Mrs. Brody and Hooper.I think what happened was Speilburg offered Benchly a part in the movie if he could rewrite the script..Unfortunatley for him his part was cut to about 30 seconds and a bucket of chum.

OK, let's say he's a very ambitious shark. By the time he gets out, rents a car, drives to the apartment, comes up the elevator... you would probably smell fish and split out the window! So I'm sitting on my bed going, "Well, why doesn't the mother just not go in the water? Wouldn't that make more sense?"

Spot On !!!

I think PC_Arcade you're gonna have to do another thread :

Jaws 4 : Sharks after me, I'm leaving Town!!!

Coz it's getting off topic !!!
