Also, it looks like 'Tom Savini' is using his real name for his part.....

hhhmmmmmm

Still not sure about this one!

But a zombie movie is better then NO zombie movie. just wish they didn't have to name it the same they could have changed the title a bit and made it more like a sequel?

but of course if it's called Dawn of the Dead it will be more recognisable to a mass audience, then if it was called say .....

House of the Dead

Oh - don;t get me wrong Takyon - This looks cool and I can't wait for it next year.

It's just that it has to go and label itself as a remake with the same name!

It looks cool and taking the idea of zombies taking over and some people holed up in a supermarket is fine

But the mimicking should a stopped there

Well, a remake is what it it, and remakes generally keep the same movie title of the original, and this is no exception. If it were to be a remake of Dawn, but have a different title like 'Zombie Mall' for example, then there would be a lot of cries of "rip-off", etc, etc. In my opinion, remakes need to keep the original movie name. I'm sure there are plenty remakes out there with a different title than their original, but I can't think of any off the top of my head

hmmm well since Dawn is my favourite movie i don't think it should ever be touched for a remake :matrix: but saying that if it does come out to be any good then it can only make the movie makers of the future want to make more zombie movies so it could be a good thing for the zombie lover :)

man, i hate the smart/fast/running zombies. i prefer 'classic' zombies.

breaking down the budget for this remake....
+5 million dollar budget starting-

-3 million in cocaine for director/stars
-1 million in catering bills
-500,000 in money skimmed off for personal use+ items stolen by the crew(hammers, lightbulbs, toilet paper, etc)
-250,000 for advertising
-100,000 for socks, foot apparal and hookers
- 50,000 for transportation costs
- 25,000 for valet parking
- 20,000 for soap
- 19,994 dollars lost when accidently left in pants pocket and then put in laundry.
- $5.23 for a script, rewrites, creativeness,dialog,
anything that has to do with the actual movie.

@Mr Smasher, you one funny, but slightly twisted, guy mate. As for the classic zombies, yeah I prefer them too, somehow it just seems more scary, and th constant and steady onslaught seems more powerfull, when the fuckers run they just look like crack heads having a bad day LOL

@Spud, damn, guess I will have to get out the chain gun then. Aint those graboids a pain too? Little sods ruined my lawn. You heard any news on a second series BTW matey?

@Mr Bassline, I usually treat remakes as seperate films, it makes it easier to overlook small annoyances or continuity problems if it's a series of films. And you are right, and I do hope it spawns more zombie flicks.

Me to, and with Undead/House of the Dead I think zombies are back

They were always my fave type of horror film.

Will we get a remake of Zombie Flesh Eaters ???

I think not :P

No I haven't heard anything about it, but I pieced together it's been canned by the first series sudden end.
