Post subject:  Trying to figure out the name of this film!!!!!
There was a cheap straight-to-VHS rental in the mid-late 80s that had an unusual plot twist. It was more of a thriller than an actual horror. A couple, who are aspiring filmmakers, go to New York City and happen to befriend another couple. They spend some time together, going to clubs and stuff, and believe they have found some new friends in a strange town. However things take a turn for the worst when the new couple set the amateur filmmakers up for a brutal murder.

The acting is pretty poor, the camerawork and editing are poor (street scenes often have totally different lighting between cutbacks, etc), but the unique plot twist makes this low budget video well worth watching. I've tried searching for it everywhere. Hoping some of the plotline will ring a bell with someone.

What kills me, is that I *had* a beta tape with it on, and I wrote down all of the titles I had on beta before I moved and tossed them out - now, after moving twice in the last year, I'll be damned if I can find that sheet with all the titles on - and every title on the sheet is NOT out on DVD :( :suicide:
