This is something like the Twilight Zone I think, it's an old programme, black and white. I call him Mr Death as I don't know what he was actually called.

Basically the plot is...

Man (Mr Death) walks into a bar (or cafe) and tells an addicted gambler that he will die at midnight. The man manages to get Mr Death to gamble with him. If he doesn't die at midnight, he can get to keep his life.

Come the stroke of midnight and the man is still alive. Mr Death leaves very unhappy and confused as to how this was possible.
When Mr Death leaves, we find out that the gambler had actually moved the clock forward by five minutes.
