Did anyone in the UK see this tonight? CH4 at 10.30?
This is the first time i've caught this show and it was a good one.

Best line tonight,
His mate explodes in front of him in slo-mo and Garth says
"Are you alright"?

Catch it next week if you haven't seen it yet.

'Same time, same place, same channel!!'

This is a brand new show. Are you getting confused Spud? This isn't really a previously banned 80s horror series! :D

I dunno, there was just an article/review that said that there was a new series by horror comedy writer, blah, blah, which was a remake of an old tv series.

I have no idea what it's about or anything, but if it is a remake or another series of i'd prefer to see the first series first.
Or it might have been about something else he wrote. Why whats banned?

erm, might help if i new what it was about

The whole thing about the horror writer and the banned 80s show he wrote is the setup for the show, it's a spoof set in a hospital built on a gateway to hell. The "writer" introduces each episode and pops up occasionally along with the "producer" to comment on the action.

It wasn't great, but it's worth watching. :D

lmao! I just saw the first two episodes (downloaded them all). This series is piss funny!

You really can't summarize it in a review, its pretty mad and really stupid. Really, really stupid. Badly written article in the metro anyway, it told nothing what it was like.

Anyway, its really hilarious. Lifts from tv series like, Kingdom, Outer Limits, Hammer Horror etc. All wrapped in a politically incorrect, badly shot with millions of rediculous continuity errors, badly written and terribly acted (all purposely done) bubble.

lol @ the funeral in the first episode, I was laughing pretty hard at that bit. Or in episode two where he shoots the iron with a beretta, then the beretta starts to move, so he shoots the beretta with another beretta

I got them all downloaded, I'll share em if there's interest?

From the 'Save Darkplace' website.

If you have the dvd of this.

Quote:
Has anyone else noticed that some of the material in "Pam's Home Movies" on the Darkplace DVD which doesn't have sound, *does* actually have some sound, only really quiet?

Here's what I mean. In the section where Todd and Garth are filming the scene at the bar, there's a point where Todd says "Do you want dialogue?" and the audio stops. Now, turn the volume right up (be careful!), you can just hear what seems like an argument, finishing with, "This is my project! If I want to sack you, my friend, I will sack you."

Can anyone decipher the rest of what is said?

Someone try this out?
