Well I din't even know that a forth film was going into production let alone who ahad agreed to direct.

Although from the news articles it looks like the film is gonna take a serious U-Turn with the new director.

But we can still hope for a return to form and another Comedy Zombie fest.......can't we?

Quote:
Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis: Director Ellroy Elkayem has replaced Tobe Hooper on the film set to start shooting in Romania in June.
The story centers on a group teenagers who, in an attempt to rescue their friend from an evil corporation, end up releasing a horde of blood thirsty zombies.

I think that there is also a part 5 in the works. Both are suppose to be serious horror, not comedy horror. Who knows

w00t

We have 28 days later, Resident Evil and Dawn of the Dead.

I hope they drop that 'serious' RotLD3 style crap, it was much worse than the other two :(

yep! Zombies are coming back and proving popular enough to make money.
So that means an influx in Zombie movies scheduled/being made.

Now the problem with this is that it will saturate the market and eventually we'll have all manner of crap Zombie straight to video nonesense............

Oh wait good old Lions Gate are already attempting that :P

Quote:
According to today's Hollywood Reporter, Lions Gate Films is hoping to get a piece of the undead pie. The studio is putting Flight of the Dead on the fast track for a September start date. Just what we need, zombies in the skies. As if I wasn't afraid of flying enough already.

Sources told the trade that Flight is "the tale of two zombies being shipped back to their homeland after they are captured. But when the deadly creatures come unexpectedly to life aboard an airplane, they begin to wreak high-altitude havoc."

No talent is attached to the project at this time, but some names should be announced in the near future if they're going to start lensing in the fall.
article

hhhhhmmmmm - could be good couldn't?

Although I'm having flashes of the killer Bees film on a plane Flying Virus.
NOW THAT SUCKED

LOL @ satan, your posts are getting shorter and shorter mate, by 2moro you will just be posting a blank space.

@Mr scream, I thought you of all ppl woulda known about this along time, has been around long enuff, altho it kept changing the premise, at one point there were rumours of it being half live action and the other half was animation, but combined together, if ya know what I mean, even the fookin plot has changed seven thousand times.

I was on about ROTLD4 mr scream, not so much keeping quite, more of a case of, like you said, no hard evidence. That Zombie flight would be easy to film, just fill a plane full of pensioners and get em drunk.

Yeah but it's Lions Gate and probably straight to video so that will be to swish for them mate

It's funny how some films can slip you by and you don't even hear about them!

Thats what this boards for, keeping peeps upto date on future horror releases!

u know zombie flight/flight of the dead whatever sounds very much to me like whoever wrote it has been reading the resident evil comic number 3 or 4 (i have them) and theres a story in it where jill barry chris and rebbecca are on a plane flying somewhere, europe i think and then all of a sudden the zombie plague spreads through teh plane causing everyone (but them naturally) to turn into bloodthirsty zombies

pretty decent story but strictly for the short story comic book format NOT A FUCKING MOVIE

I quite like colm meaney as an actor, not that he has been in alot, but I have enjoyed his performances to date.

Con air, I remember that, actually a decent film, not my usual cup of tea, well coffee, but I did enjoy watching it.
