Post subject:  One that I have been looking for for years
Been looking for this for a long time and have no clue what the name is.Saw this on Cinemax roughly around 1980-81 and it played only once and it's either an Italian movie or a spanish production.Starts off like this....A woman is checking out a statue of the devil or something like it and it comes to life and bangs the crap out of her before possessing her.There is a scene where this lady gets whipped by roses on a bed and she is getting off on it.Basically a possession movie..I am sorry I know that is little information but i was like 12,13 when I saw it.

It's not pron..it was on cinemax when I saw it....I just remeber her staring at this statue and it would come to life and nail her..there is a fair amount of sex in it but not pron for sure.One scene the devil is banging her on a crucifix.I really don't expect anyone to figure this one out since I have for roughly 22 years and haven't figured it out yet.

According to a reveiwer at imdb it says and I quote"One of the worst films I've ever seen."So you know it has to be good :P
Need a damned rip of it to find out if it is indeed the one...If it is then you are #1 on my Christmas list :beerchug:

One of the IMDb reviews mentions a whipping with roses, add that to the statue and possession stuff and this just has to be it!

Only thing I found was under Sexorcist and that looks like it's a Hentai film from the tag...found one thing under tormented but I doubt if that is the one as it has a mst3k tag and even if it is it would be cut to shit.May have to order this sucker

Found this one on VHS...apperently all dvd prints of this are Fullscreen which sucks....this one says it's in widescreen and uncut...I trust midnight enough to think this is probably the best version available.

arrghhh... why do they do that? They have a brand spanking, high compressability medium, with many dvd players that can crop on the fly if need be, and they put some stupid f*cking pan scan crap on the disc?

I'm with you...but I still hear people bitch about the "funny black bars on the top and bottom" to this day,even after i have explained the idea behind widescreen to them,they just don't get it and I end up walking off before my blood pressure shoots through the roof.According to the reviewer at imdb for this film it was released a couple of times like this :roll:
One example I use to try and get people to understand the concept between wide and fullscreen is pick any chinese chop sake flic and watch it..there are cases where the actor talking isn't even on camera..that is an extreme example but it pretty much shows the point I am gettign at...Fullscreen is for people that are either a.) to stupid to realise what they are missing or b.) to pigheaded to care that they are only enjoying 1/2 the movie.
Now to be fair this is an old movie so I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but when I see it was released not to long ago on dvd it makes me wonder why the hell would they go to the trouble of a release in the first place if they are just pan and scanning?Do they honestly think that the demographic that they are marketing to would be satisfied with this?In my estimation I think it is just a matter of not giving a fuck and cashing in on the Rocky Horror Picture Show cover and suckering unknowing customers into thinking it is something like that.In that case they probably picked up any transfer they could get their greedy paws on and said "Here you go..look...it has the cover the poor bastards won't know we just buggered them in the ass anyways and we just got our money."Pretty damned deceitful in my estimation.
So you aren't alone spud,this shit is a pretty hot topic with me as well.

Often the small DVD companies don't have the money to find good prints of movies, unlike the famous companies like Anchor Bay and Blue Underground. They end up with copies taken from low quality sources or even just on old ex-rental tape.

In some cases with obscure titles, good prints can be almost impossible to find.
