I have a friend of a friend who went to see it during its run in Toronto. He said it was as funny as hell and bloody, too. The first four rows were the "blood rows" and they were covered witha tarp.

I live right up the street from the Toronto theatre playing this. I had front row centre and EVERYONE near me got covered Carrie-style. Amazingly well done and the actors were spot on perfect. It's worth whatever it takes to go see it!

HAHAHA!!! ive been to see this twice already! its no longer in toronto though. First time we went we sat a little further back so we could see everything and it was totally worth it. Second time we Sat in the Splatter Zone! I have a white tee i bought from there saying 'Evil Dead The Musical' on it and its covered in theatre style blood! im never washing it hahaha

It was really well done, Hilarious! almost even more so than the films. Now we sit back and Await Army of Darkness... the Musical.
And ive been trying to find Video for this forever!!!! thanks for the YouTube links!

The new fanedit.com wiki (branched from originaltrilogy.coms forums) states this in their list of fan edits and it's status is complete :?

Evil Dead musical
but.....
Quote:
1. How do I download or obtain these projects?

Firstly, please respect the first golden rule of fan edits: you may only obtain a fan edit if you own the offical retail release.

The fanedits.com database provides information about fan projects only. Due to the underground nature of the fan edit scene, there are no downloads or torrent links hosted here. You are expected to search out these projects yourself. Limited help and hints may be found in our forum (coming soon).

And while i'm at it :

Evil Dead 2 Workprint

I've never seen/heard of such a thing :o

Anybody figure out that website?

Well spotted Conky

A quick search on a few torrent sites & google, along with ED2k network, only turns up the original bootleg VHS copy of the workprint which has been around for ages (and i already have that) running in at 40mins.

How useful is that!?
'Heres a workprint of evil dead 2 with extra scenes and new extras'
'Great! where can I get it?'
'Ah, well. We can't just tell you... You might get some hints from the forums though'
'Great where can I see the forums?'
'Ah... we haven't made that bit of the site yet...'

I was happier living in ignorance before I knew that existed, than now that I know it does & can't get it!

that site is like an nforce.nl but a hell of a lot less helpful; no way to get at the material on that site, its only an indication that someone out there has it. They may well have never released it or they might be a complete prick and winding you up.

Chances are, since you can clearly see from the clips above, its been filmed and someone related to the production has it on tape.

BTW:
Ebay 1

Looks like there's an audio cd of it out if nothing else.

Actually looking at the workprint post on fanedits.com, i think it may well be the same as the bootleg DVD i have already (although as i said above its only 40 mins long and has most of the middle section of the film missing and it has the same extras mentioned in the text)

You can buy the same bootleg DVD i have at this site (scroll down abit):

http://www.stumpydisks.com/workprints.html

If you compare the text in that entry to the text on fanedits.com they're virtually identical.

Just incase anyone asks; to say that it "Includes new scenes not included in any released cut of the film!" is a slight overstatement. I think i counted a total of 2-3 new/longer shots totalling a few seconds, all the music is temp mixed though.
