Omikron doesn't ring many bells here , bar the name itself.... The genre does need a kick in the rear , however , I doubt this will be it....(bar a few nice innovations) Another World on the amiga ..... NOW THAT was one huge leap forward... |

Well, sounds interesting. If only there were a way to see 20 or more pictures instead of the meager amount you provided. |

You've all let me down sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much except Dia (lol, no, no david bowie... but there's still buzz about a sequel to nomad, so maybe there... :-o ). Skip over to scifi.dead-donkey.com for Nomad Soul... okay its not perfect, but it really is an excellent action/adventure, and despite content, this looks very similar. Nomad sould had a Tekken style beat em up content, and you can clearly see from the boxing bit that its in again... this is very good news because this means this is a loose-sequel in engine to nomad soul, which was a quality game (bar the FPS bits which I thought were really crappy). Nomad Soul was a compelling sci-fi indie, demon hunting weirdo, cyper-punk fest... and was famous because David Bowie not only voiced a character but I believe sung several songs for the sound track. Although it wasn't a major hit, it really was something really special... I loved it to bits despite its glaring flaws. This quite clearly is a non-scifi murder case based game, which is going to play just like it but better. For that reason I really can't wait... The name has been ringing around the PS2 scene for a long time, and I didn't put name to game developer until I searched for a sequel to normad soul (which was put on hold ![]() Basically though, nomad soul basically you take over the body of a cop and search for some sci-fi weirdo demon killers.... you have to do missions such as infilitration and tekken style beat em up of these demon mother f*ckers... at certain points in the game you can abandon your damaged character and posses certain other people and carry on in their peronsality. Really cool stuff. The bit with the girl in her panties on the phone is an obvious homage... because in nomad soul there's an identical bit where you talk to your girl friend in the same attire ... i believe she's possed and you have to beat the crap out of the bitch later in the game... I'm afraid my memory fails me here, but i'm sure its true. There's lots of faulty ed-101 style robots and I really enjoyed the game. Nomad Soul is 3cds for d0c, and since this game isn't out till next year, i'd say that this game will be an absolute minimum of one DVDr big, probably one DVD9.... just going on track record for quality and multimedia content required for such a big adventure game. @pca, yeah, I heard bits about it, but as said, I couldn't put game to developer, now I have developer name I think this one really is going to be a good action game. Track record is just nomad soul only, which they really tried ground breaking material imo, which means they've spent 5 years making this at least and from a very, very ambitious company. @ chadman /me slaps chadman ![]() ![]() @ohgo
Ur talking about the same genre that Zelda aka. consistantly "greatest game ever made", every version (bar Zelda 2)... its rear has been kicked so many times its impacted in on itself... hell there's also Resident Evil franchise as another major player... however, besides the awesomeness of lots of games in this genre, more are of course welcome ![]() |

The interface is really very unique, you hold the mouse button down and then move it in the direction of the action you wish to perform. My guess its for the second analogue on the playstation, but it works well with the mouse. There's this weird story that pans out, and you get effects like split screen (there's a murder almost immediately and half the screen tracks the police man whos about to walk in on you, whilst the other side you you trying to clean up the blood trails lol). Demo is dead short though ![]() Roll on 9th September, will grab it for the xbox ![]() |

What an excellent game, thouroughly enjoyed the demo, and really looking forwardto the full game. one question though Spud, did you manange to clear the blood trail that leads to the toilet up as well as the pool by the drain? If so how? |
Author: | spudthedestroyer [ Sat Jul 30, 2005 6:19 pm ] |
Post subject: | |
You can only clear the pool with the mop, not the entire trail imo. I think one aspect of the story that needs to be discovered is the body... so in every storyline, the cop always finds the body. Its good to see there's loads of different ways out, ie. taxi, subway, getting caught by the cop, getting picked up by another cop, etc. IMO, it is being designed heavily for the consoles, that click and move the mouse thing was definitely for the right analogue stick methinks. |
