Knackers. Can it fold down once you open it?
Reason I ask is, I need to send it to a friend in the USA and it looks a bit bulky it its present form.

No, and it is bulky, Play package it in a most alarming manner
Could you not order it from play and get them to ship it to your friend?
Or even from Amazon, they ship to the states from the UK IIRC

Play UK don't ship to the USA.
Amazon.co.uk want ?30.79 for the boxset plus an organ from your first born son for postage to the USA no doubt.

 aah, yeah I'd forgotten about Amazons pricing
I'd honestly say it's not worth bothering, although there is a digipack version (same disks, different packaging)
