when I was a kid I was scared of Pet Cemetary.

the last ones have been The Ring (us version - laugh away), Dark Water, Los Sin Nombre and Ju-On (I only watched one of them, I think it was the first in the series)

I can't think of any others right now ...

Capturing the Friedmans, really shook me up.

Cure, also unsettled me in a great manner.

Darkness, was kinda creepy.

Dead End, had me kinda on edge sometimes.

For me as a kid The Excorcist and It did the trick....

Funny hmmm..this isn't the first answer with those in it.

Recently I have to admit that it's mainly our friends in the Far East
that make some really scary shit.

This weekend I've watched Tale of two Sisters and yes,it made me almost jump off the couch ,luckily my cat was there to break the fall in case I really did it

But anyway : those Asian movies do the trick right now.

(Have you seen Into the mirror? You just don't have to think about it when you move in front of the mirror that your reflection stands still :-o )

btw i've read on imdb that there's an American remake on it's way of Dark Water ? If they make it just like The Ring......... 8)

Greetz,

I still think Cannibal Holocaust might very well be the most frightening movie ever, though..

Nothing in Cannibal Holocaust scared me. I guess, it just comes down to the lack of the basic "characters-I-care-about-in-peril" element. I didn't like any of the characters and they were the ones inflicting the pain on others. Its like Henry. Both great movies, neither one scary.

I saw 'night of the living dead' and 'the haunting' last summer at the cinema, during the same night. I can tell you I hurried back home afterwards :wacky:

Halloween when I was a kid, and I did wake up with a jolt once with "This is where the dead talk. Don't go over there, that's where the dead walk" (Pet Semetary) being repeated in my head, just the once, months after I watched it :wacky: Nothing recently though.

Cannibal Holocaust isn't scary at all, just sick.

The first time I saw Jaws as a kid and that head popped out of the hole!!! It made made me and my mate jump so high that we both dropped a load of maltesers out of the box and all u could hear for a few minutes after were them rolling down the floor of the cinema and bumping down the tiers.

Sharks have fucked with my head ever since and I must admit that I found Open Water an unnerving viewing experience.
