OK...
So my friend told me about a movie and we can't find out what it's called.
OK...So there's this car, and he picks up this hitchhiker, and the hitcher turns out to be this severely disturbed guy who says to the driver "I am a severely disturbed lunatic, and I'm going to kill you. You have to stop me".
And apparently there is a truck involved also.
And no, it's not Joyride or Monster Man.
I know...it's very vague.

Agreed. I was tempted to write a little mini review, because the movie deserves one, but I had no time and am generally lazy. Just take this simple recommendation, don't read the reviews, make sure your friend doesn't tell you anything else that he remembers, and enjoy the movie. Its a twisty, freight train of a thriller featuring a Rutger Hauer tour-de-force performance.
Anyone got a good link? I think my old divx is a little dark.

Say, this movie was in some sort of "compendium" with other 3? Is it a short or something? because it sounds a lot like one I saw a long time ago, along with three others which were written by Stephen King. I guess that first one might have been, too, but I only saw half of it.

No, it's "The Hitcher", the one you're thinking of is "Quicksilver Highway".
