ok, four films I saw like 10 years ago or something and never got to finish. 1. Was a sorta 'Beetlejuice' story, but in a normal house (ie, not a big mansion). Family moves in.. finds house haunted by ghost/thing/man, which I think turned out not to be bad after all. don't remember much more other than the fact that the kid in it had a tree hut which he could climb in and out of through his window.. oh, and there was something about bubbles... hmm.. Vague I know.. now I saw this in some birthday party and they'd rented that together with the original Ghost Busters.. must've been in '87 or something? 2. Was some medieval film. Started out with a school trip to Stonehenge I think. Some girl fell and hit her head and was transported back 3-400 years or something. Remember there was a scene with two knights fighting and one got his head cut off, only to continue fumbling around like a blind. Think there also was a dragon.. 3. Was a sorta 'haunted mansion' film, but I think it was meant to be humorous. My mom wouldn't let me watch it anyways. =( There was like a bunch of people having a sleepover on this mansion and lots of strange things started to happen. They all would be in one room, then one guy would walk out a door and enter another room, only to turn and walk back in the first one, but all the others had disappeared. Eventually they discovered there were two of every room, and they moved about... There was a weird host guy who always spooked them, and I remember in one scene he pretended to cut off a finger with a kitchen knife, but it turned out it was just a carrot he had cut off. After a while they found out everything was fake, even down to the fog which was produced by some smoke machine. Think this film was kinda old, but in color. 4. was a 'Poltergeist' kinda film without the $$$$ budget. Family moves into house and finds strange goings on. Remember it turned out to be built on an ancient Indian burial ground or something. Was a big tree on the front lawn with lots of dark birds (hmm, might actually just have been one bird) always in the branches. It ended just with them moving away I think and it said it was based upon a true story. I know these are all very very vague and it's not really important. Would still be fun to find out what these movies were called, and see them again. Come to think of it, all but the 3rd one were watched at birthday parties. =) |

Hi, not only J.D. has films, which he once saw, but cannot remember the title, I have the same problem. Since this is a fitting thread: 1. Not really horror, I think. It is a cinema, which shows an old western movie and during the show a man in the first row is shot. The following police investigation shows strange things, the shot came from the screen, the bullet was from an old colt. It seems the all persons sitting on this special seat are shot by one of the cowboys in the film. 2. This one I remember even more vague. It is a haunted film studio I think. I is long abandoned, but a group of people break in and suddenly cannot get out anymore. Doors disappear or lead in other times, dimensions (?). And of course one by one get killed. When they finally find an exit, they don't use it, because they discoveres some old valuable film rolls? (?). |

tnx man!!! I've had Murder By Death (1976) DivX [she3i3i] ShareReactor.avi in my que for ages, but on pause. Since there is a 'SR' in the name I guess it's well spread. will let you know if not. Really hope this is the right one. As for your films, I have no idea. the 1st one sound a little like 'Deep Red' with the person being killed in a cinema.. but not shot from the screen. |

I found I'd mixed up nr. 3 a little. Half of it was right and was from 'Murder by death', but the 'cutting off finger with kitchen knife, only to discover it was only a carrot cut in two'-scene was not there so that must've been from something else. any clue? It had alot of the same story, with a group of people being hassled by some scary weirdo guy... Still would love to be able to find out what nr 1, 2 & 4 are. oh, and another one: This is much more difficult. Think it was british, and I saw it on Sky-channel or something... It's about two people who say they are aliens and want to take people back to their home planet for a better life. Alot of people join and want to go, but we get the impression that all is not what it seams. One person tries to warn everyone, but they wont listen. It ended in some desert at night, with lots of flashing lights and stuff. The person trying to warn everyone was the only one left and when you finally got to see where the flashing lights came from it was from helicopters and alot of army dudes.. Think it might have been named something like 'Two visitors' but have been unable to find it at imdb. |

Half of that is a simpsons halloween special ![]()
Sounds a lot like The Amityville Horror (1979). It's based on a 'real story', or as close as they come involving haunted houses. One character mentions it maybe 'built on an ancient indian burial ground' if i recall correctly. Don't remember the birds or the tree house though, but maybe there (very long time since i saw it). http://www.stomptokyo.com/movies/a/amit ... orror.html |

nope. wasn't amityville. the house was more suburban I think.. like in poltergeist. and the scariness was very subtle suggestive... |

I've just remembered that I've seen Grave Secrets, it was pretty good for a TV movie. The mystery movie is more likely to be this one than The Uninvited I think. |

yeah, after checking out the trailer I'm sure it's right. the title also rung a bell far down there. and the year seamed somewhat more right. I've found the 2nd too now: Arthur the King (1985) (TV) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088739/ aka Merlin & the Sword |
