Land of the Dead :o
I liked the Twilight idea :(

Lets hope this is good, although I wonder what theme/story he will take on the fourth entry?

It was supposed to be 'Dead Reckoning', then it changed to 'Land of...'

'Twighlight of...' was only ever speculation AFAIK. :)

speculation or not I still like the continuation of the theme.

night, dawn, day, twilight :D

I suppose Land of the dead is still good as gives the idea that it might be an epic/global zombie flick

Gotta be honest here, the premise I read for Dead Reckoning sounded a bit, er, shit. Altho TBH I generally ignore what I read as often a film can sound crap "on paper", but actually turn out pretty cool.

in regards to Dead Reckoning, I was positive that wasn't part of the living dead franchise, I'm positive I read that was just a movie that romero was going to make. But if fangoria says it was, then I guess they are the people who know

Twilight of the dead is such a cliche, but Land of the Dead makes it sound like a sub-park in eurodisney.

Arrgghhh! First fox makes up that word, now people actually use it :o Its not a word, and its demoted even further when they only made up that word to bung Ressurection on the end. :eatthis: :rage:

Spud I've been miss read :?

I thought a silly set of named films deserved the *proper* title for a set of four films :P

I used the quadRILAGY with :P

Come on you know you like it really
And plus if it gets used enough then it will appear in the dictionary so give it time mate

Even googling for Quadrology
Gives you

Dr Farnsworth Mode:
its a stupid word, and makes no sense, I hate you.

Your a corporate whore... face it :D, you'll swallow any bollocks they put in front of you  These are the people that remake crap constantly, and you want them to infect the english language with such low-brow tat? For shame young man!

Google isn't a dictionary, its a script that searches for keywords, such as an item for sale called a quadrilogy. Use a proper dictionary, or http://www.dictionary.com , and you'll find proper terminology.

I didn't think you'd become the spoon fed whipping boy of 20th Century Fox Paul... for shame!

from what i've read "land of the dead" is gonna be a bit Mad Max-esque....with all the humans barricaded in a large city and the zombies pounding to get in there and i think it was gonna be about 2 ppl trying to get to this city?....also the zombies may possibly start to learn some basic things instead of being well err brainless zombies :wacky: ...aslong as the fuckers don't start running it'll be good...i have faith in 'ol George

well I've read some interviews about modern movies, and he was running his mouth off at them about having no clue what they are doing, and trying to make scares out of the entirely wrong kind of thing.

If he screw up and does the same he'll sound like an idiot  So its in his duty to make a good film

You know what the scarey thing is now... he has CGI at his disposal, and that's a very tempting tool for a director.

 he won't be able to show his face at any horror/zombie convention ever again if he screws up.

hope to hell he doesn't use CGI....well ok, he can use a bit but not a lot!

Are you not getting mixed up with Diamond Dead? That's not part of the "foursome" but Romero was supposed to be directing it before he went on to do the 4th 'Dead' film.

No, I thought dead reckoning was something he was just playing with like diamond dead. n/m I'm quite clearly wrong

ps. foursome is a better word
/me gets a marker pen and replaces Quadrilogy with foursome on his alien boxset

warning - warning - fox police - fox police

Put down the marker pen son, don't do anything rash.
Quadrilogy is a fine example of the collective term for four :P

Well it was the fact that they'd already given it a real name that's baffling

The first set was called Alien Legacy... hmmm I know, lets make up a word, quadrililogies... hmmm quadrilogy! Yes it makes no sense, but damn it, when you own most of the world's press, we can just make up words when we don't need to!

To quote everyone's favourite "papa"/cirus ringleader

oh... its a saga now!

Glad Romero's finally getting round to it, hopefully he can show some recent film-makers how to make a 'proper' horror :D

As for the whole Quadrilogy thing....as an English teacher, I've got to side with Spud. It's a damn ugly word (if you can call it a word  ).
Unfortunately, I have a feeling it'll be used more and more until it does appear in the dictionaries.
Not only that, but it's bound to spur some more 'creativity' from executives.....just try and imagine what they're going to call box sets of 5 or more films

I'm sure they do it just to make my job harder :matrix:
