While I don't think it will, this is one movie that may exceed its predecessior. I liked The Fog, but really thought it could have been a better movie. It was a four star concept with a three star excecution. This one may surprise.

I wouldn't hold my breath  I think I say this about every year or so but this is the sort of thing that truely unveils that Hollywood has absolutely run out of script Ideas and are about as usefull as a thrice used condom.

Hollywood can suck my sweaty spuds. They butcher every original idea, and they do even worse with remakes of classics.

The original fog is class, but this will probably be no more than a bit of eye candy created for mindless automatons. I would be pissed off if I paid to see almost all the films I "obtained" online.

I wasn't a huge fan of the original, but I did enjoy it. I am sure I will end up watching the remake.

The problem I have with these remakes is that they ensure the movie is made for the teenagers now and not the fans of the original. I am sure it will have all kinds of T&A in it and some stupid stoner guy (like in almost all these horror remakes). The focus will be off the plot and on the breasts of teenage women. It would not surprise me if they tell us that the story is every 30 years or so the town has a "rave" and that is why the fishermen ghosts are pissed off.

All these remakes are really making me sick. I wish they would stop remaking them and do something original or at least a bit different. What is wrong with doing a sequel? This way it is a different movie all together and can be placed into "todays" society. The problem is they would have to actually think of some kind of plot and that would hurt their poor little heads.

i liked the original a lot, but i think it could have been a better movie.
the remake-trailer looks kinda typical for todays horror-flicks. i think i'm gonna watch it, but with no expectations...

DXA, I won't be holding my breath. If I were expecting something great, then it wouldn't be a surprise. I found the TCM remake to be a pleasant surprise.

Ok, as much as a couple of remakes have been ok, i must say that i am starting to absolutely hate them and be allergic to them. the Fog was terrible with it's "sophisticated" plot updates, and now the Wicker Man? Nickie Cage? Survives in the end?
