WOW!
I just finished watching this movie and damn it was like one of the most intense thriller i've ever seen.
Besides the fact that it's very well acted, directed, man what a rush, from the beginning to the final credits it keeped me on the edge of my seat.
Does anyone else seen this movie and share the same opinion?

I thought it was good too, but did leave me with a little bit of a "been there, done that" after taste. Very nice filck though... I enjoyed it.

Yeah i agree, it's nothing new, but it was so intense, it's not like those slow--boring thrillers (gothika

) where you just kept thinking, "oh c'mon when will fucking Halle Berry be chopped off". :wink:

Such a coincidence, just saw this film yesterday night for the second time. Very nice movie indeed, never boring. Borrows a lot of elements from other horror movies but has it's own touch.

i agree, there aren't any new elements, like we've seen this kind of ending quite a few times during the last years. but i loved it from the start and enjoyed it even more when watching for the second time.

I'm inviting a friend over, so i'll watch it again today, yeah i guess you're right avatar, i think i'll enjoy it even more this time since some things now make sense.
And oh well with a six pack everything is makes sense. :wacky:

By the way i've heard that a movie called Intensity is pretty similar to this one, has anyone already watched it?

i once read some rumours that High Tension is another adaptation based on the same Dean R. Koontz novel as Intensity.

Yep, watching it for the second time is fun too. Takes away the surprises of course but now a lot of the hints make sense. I watched it two times with the same friends and we all thought the same about the movie...

Yeah its not an adaptation as a blatant ripoff of Intensity. Watching the first time I kept getting that 'seen this before feeling', then I said what was going to happen right before it did. They just tagged on the BS 'split-personality' ending. It is a good watch though, regardless. And its pretty violent. Fuck it, just watch it, why am I even gonna bother trying to discourage....

Nevertheless, i really liked Haute Tension too !!
Got my copy from ebay like 6 months ago, but it's a really poor Taiwanese bootleg thingie. Not that you can see it's cheap-ass quality directly but you can tell. Think i'll grab meself an original anytime soon.

But first i really need to get me this

Damn, I really loved this movie, and since I speak french I was able to watch original with no subs, much better IMO!
You can concentrate on the movie much more !

As many have said, yes it seems we've all seen this sort of movie many times lately, but I have to admit, this is the one that got my attention the most...so props to Haute Tension !!! :beerchug:
