Post subject:  Holiday Horrors: Collection Help

I'm working on a Holiday Horror collection to post soon. It will include as many holiday related movies as possible. The theme can be stretched to include symbols of the holidays... rabbits for easter, leprechauns for St. Patrick's Day, pumpkins for Halloween, etc. This is just a rough beginning and input is welcome. Let it include but not be limited to American holidays... any holiday need only be requested to be included if a horror movie exists for it.

Don't bother with sequels as they will be a given as long as they relate.

The list so far:

Christmas:
Black Christmas (1974)
Christmas Season Massacre, The (2001)
Day of the Beast, The (1995)
Dead End (2003)
Don't Open 'Til Christmas (1984)
Elves (1990)
Gremlins (1984)
Home for the Holidays (1972)
Jack Frost (1997)
Nightmare Before Christmas, The (1993)
One Hell of a Christmas (2002)
Santa Claws (1996)
Satan Claus (1996)
Scrooged (1988)
Seeds (1968)
Silent Night, Bloody Night (1974)
Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
To All a Good Night (1980)
Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? (1971)
You Better Watch Out (1980)

Easter:
Camp Slaughter (2004)
Critters 2: The Main Course (1988)
Kottentail (2004)
Night of the Lepus (1972)
Resurrection (1999)

St. Patrick's Day:
Leprechaun (1993)
Maniac Cop (1988)

Fourth Of July:
Aquanoids (2003)
Uncle Sam (1997)

Valentine's Day:
Hospital Massacre (1982)
My Bloody Valentine (1981)
Valentine (2001)

Thanksgiving:
Blood Freak (1972)

Halloween:
American Nightmare (2002)
Escape from the Dead (2003)
Fanglys, The (2004)
Filthy (2003)
Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow (1959)
Hallow's End (2003)
Halloween (1978)
Jack-O (1995)
Jack O'Lantern (2004)
Lady in White (1988)
Night of the Demons (1988)
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
Sleepy Hollow High (2000)
Trick or Treat (1986)
Trick or Treats (1982)
Wickeds, The (2005)

New Year:
Bloody New Year (1987)
New Years Evil (1980)

Multi:
Horror Seasons, The (2005)
Tales from the Crypt (1972)
Tales from the Grave, Volume 2: Happy Holidays (2005)

Some of these may be too much of a stretch and be deleted upon further review.

Thanks for any help with this.

Sure... plenty of room so far for TV as long as the ep can stand on its own and is relative.

Well there's all the Simpsons Hallow'een specials for a start.
Xfiles has a couple of seasonal episodes, there's an xmas episode with the ghosts.

There's also loads of cartoons with halloween specials, although i'm not into cartoons in a big way so can't list them. Kind of kiddy though.

You should add "Santa Claws" to the x-mas ones. This one stars the gorgeous Canadian actress Debbie Rochon. Also "New Year's Evil (1980)" , "Bloody New Year (1986)" and "The City of Lost Children (1995)"

The more I think about it the more they just don't seem to fit. Maybe further consideration once the collection is in full swing.

Added:
Santa Claws (1996)
New Year's Evil (1980)
Bloody New Year (1987)
Jack O'Lantern (2004)

Thats Jack Frost from 1996. Not the one from 1998. Very different movies.

An old thread lives again!

How about April Fool's Day?

I love this movie. It is not what you would expect, but a horror movie all the same.

Thank you for your consideration! :beerchug:

P2 would be a good addition to the festive list, it's set on Christmas Eve.

Also the movie Santa's Slay.

There is this "plot keyword" in IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/keyword/holiday-horror/

Maybe you could found some use. There are 63 movies listed.
