Watched this last night but had to stop half way through, it got me too angry. It really makes makes you wonder where religion ends and cult begins. The amazing thing about this doco is that the participants were happy with their portrayal in the film and actively toured with the directors to promote it.
I'm going to watch this again all the way through with a friend who is a parent, as I am not, tonight, just to get her opinion on what constitutes child abuse....
Amazingly, when you are not wanting to put your foot through the screen in anger and frustration, you find yourself actually laughing at some of the most insane shit you have ever seen or heard. Keep an eye out for the weight of a particular preacher whilst giving a particular sermon, some educational home schooling methods, the inevitable harry potter reference and the two 'powerpoint scenes'. Also, try and guess who was caught 2 months after being film in this buying meth from a homosexual prositute!
Also, the IMDB forums for this film are troll city....
