Plot
When Sodan’s grandmother wanders off one rainy night, intending to see a film she starred in long ago, the girl follows, eventually losing sight of granny but stumbling upon a mysterious cinema in the process. Seemingly lost in space and time, the theatre is staffed by oddball employees who bear a striking resemblance to the crew of glamorous ghouls that puts on a spectacularly strange song-and-dance show every night after midnight. The rebellious Sodan becomes enamoured with this ghost world by night, and sympathetic to the plight of the struggling cinema by day, soon becoming an employee herself. But in doing so, she risks getting lost in the past, and losing her grandmother, and her grip on reality, for good.
