Fuego (1968, 81 min.) means fire and Isabel Sarli is burning up! Argentina's greatest cinema sex symbol stars as Laura, a nymphomaniac who may very well be sexually insane. Despite the constant attention of her husband, Laura just can't be satisfied. Though she makes it with almost every man in sight, what really pushes her hubby over the edge is Laura's affair with Andrea, her lizard-like lesbian housekeeper.
FUEGO's director Armando Bo has been called Argentina's answer to Russ Meyer, and the stunning (and, yes, well-endowed) star of FUEGO,Isabel Sarli, would not at all be out of place in a Meyer film. One is even tempted to describe FUEGO as a South American version of Meyer's VIXEN, in that both films depict the exploits (or sexploits) of an insatible, irrestible woman.
This version was taken from SAT Network TV, which has the introduction of John Waters (Pink Flamingos), in something called like "Movies that can corrupt you". In his intro, he explains how he felt influenced by Armando Bo's cinema (cross referencing Divine with Isabel Sarli).
