Here are six more experimental shorts by Vladimir Kobrin. I would particularly recommend Paradoxical Man 2 and Grey Times. The first one presents an absurdist vision of the Soviet geopolitical ambitions (with a soundtrack featuring snippets of maniacal monologues by actual mental patients). The latter one is an intensely lyrical contemplation of the dehumanizing impact of the Soviet rule as well as the other historical atrocities of the past century. As to the remaining shorts, the computer graphics will certainly look very dated (and it was dated already at the time of creation), but the way it is manipulated is often quite imaginative. No subs, sorry... Also, the only sensible biographical presentation about Kobrin I could find online is in French -- oh well, I guess it will give you a chance to exercise your language skills:

Quote:

Awesome!!
I like them all. Those shorts he made give me a strange feeling (I like it). Don't know if it's because of the pictures or the sounds or the combination of those two.
Are there any more of these for my viewing pleasure?

Cheers :beerchug:

It has been promised that there will be more. All these releases come from the Russian forum fonarik.tv. I am really glad Kobrin's works speak to you (even without subs...). The language of cinema is universal... :wacky:
