Meticulously calibrated and very well made, the defiantly aggressive "Locked Out" is a love-it-or-hate-it experience. Tale of a homeless man who champions the powerless after finding a policeman's uniform, pic satirizes upper-echelon corruption, humanizes homelessness and sends up knee-jerk respect for authority with a mixture of jaundice and naivete. In his third outing as writer-director-star, comedian Albert Dupontel deploys his own body like an indestructible cartoon character.
First of all this movie is not entertaining as a blockbuster. It's more about tenderness and simplicity. It's much more better to be french to laugh at it.But well, you can appreciate it anyway, just let the strange trashy flow convince you...

Good movie, bittersweet dark comedy, surreal imagery, some cartoony violence. You may remember Dupontel as the other guy in Noe's Irreversible, going along with Cassel in search of revenge.
