...from the Director's Son's Cut...

Synopsis: An unusually principled young Viking becomes increasing uncomfortable with all the killing and plundering that goes with the job, and sets out on a magical journey in order to bring about world peace. Former Monty Python member Terry Jones attempts to have his story of Erik's seemingly hopeless quest operate as both witty, lunatic satire and sincere children's fantasy. However, despite a good cast and some interesting design elements, the film fails to completely succeed at either of its goals.

this film was a huge dissapointment to me, I was after a jabberwocky, time bandits, holy grail and got something I just couldn't get into.

Not seen the director's son's cut mind.

Those people on IMDb aren't too keen on this shorter DC it seems.

yeah but i get the impression the liked the original, I think it needed more than a hacking to save this film.. i doubt the son's cut is much better... it did need trimming though, but I don't think it could be salvaged into anything beyond average.
