Citizen X (1995)

Directed by Chris Gerolmo
Written by Robert Cullen, Chris Gerolmo
Cinematography by Robert Fraisse
Edited by William Goldenberg
Music by Randy Edelman
Cast Stephen Rea, Donald Sutherland, Max von Sydow, Jeffrey DeMunn, Joss Ackland, etc.

IMDb | Rotten Tomatoes

Plot Synopsis
Stephen Rea stars as a relentless Russian investigator in this made-for-cable thriller. Based on an actual case, this taut film tells the story of Burakov (Rea), a Russian forensic pathologist assigned to track down a brutal serial killer who is targeting young drifters. The nature of the assignment takes its toll on Burakov's personal life, as he tracks the killer for years despite the red-tape and bureaucracy of the Soviet state. Nominated for several awards overall that year, Donald Sutherland won an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for his co-starring role as Rea's supportive superior, Fetisov. The movie was filmed in Hungary. -- Bernadette McCallion

LMAO
uggghhhhh....that figures...I thought I searched on here but apperently I didn't....was sitting on that movie since sept. waiting to release it.oh well...on to other releases then....it isn't as though we are lacking.I guess I should have figured on its release since it is an HBO film and it was sort of a mainstream release for us anyways considering the suff we normally release.
Speaking of HBO films..and completely derailing the topic in this thread. :P I remember a few of us regs were talking it up on some WWIII films a while back in some thread on another and I ran across this one not to far back.

Really good film done with a shoestring budget from the looks of it.Plays out alot like Failsafe for those that have seen that one.
