Plot Outline: "A transsexual murders one of his psychiatrist's patients, and now he's after the prostitute who witnessed it."

Directed by Brian De Palma, Dressed To Kill is a very dark thriller featuring a great cast. The film is tense and well paced with a solid story and characters to keep things interesting. An excellent film overall.

It stars Michael Caine, Angie Dickenson, Nancy Allen, and Dennis Franz.

I did a 1/3 dvd rip for this cause the film is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Gordian Knot. Enjoy.

Yeah, doesn't matter so much if you dupe with a better rip if that's what you mean :)

ODiN, you might want to see if a noise filter cleans up an older rip.

Try:
Code:
# DENOISE
TTempSmooth()

instead of undot().

It is slow mind you, and will slow down your encoding speed, but it does the job very nicely on noisey sources like this one :)

spud - I used the default GKnot noise filter set to 'low' on this one - I didnt notice any remarkable improvements though. :wacky:

I'll try the one you suggested for the next time I need one but I gotta admit I'm still a bit of a novice with editing .avs scripts - shouldnt be too hard though I hope. :)

this is a very noisey dvd, you'd probably have faired better with some real convolution3d going on, the above is for heavy noise which you can see in shot two and three. Just means you can get a lot more compression out of ti :)

To get that smoothing filter to work you need to download the appropriate dll from doom9 (or google) so for the above, you replace undot() with the above (don't bother checking any noise filters in the gknot gui), and then at the top of your script input the dll, something like this:

Code:
LoadPlugin("D:\PROGRAMS\Video\Encoding\GORDIA~1\AviSynthPlugins\TTempSmooth.dll")

I'll definitely give it a whirl the next time it needs doing. Any good filters that can be used for sharpening video that you've had any luck with btw?
