You can use this freeware to correct the AR while transfering the AVI to DVD.

I don't know which is the best way to do that permanently, but you can change the aspect ratio with most proper players. This way you can force the AVI to the correct AR and keep the original file for p2p.

Wouldn't recommend anything but CCE, everything has the ability to fix the AR when re-encoding, all you need is a calculator

But format re-encoding is a lossy process so imo your making things worse. Do it on the fly in your player.

You can change a parameter in the avi container header which forces an aspect ratio but only a pitiful handful players respect this parameter. So the real answer is like member13 said, you can not fix it permanently without re-encoding, and you will loose quality in doing so. Every software player made excluding crap ones like wmp and real player have the ability to change aspect ratio though so its an annoyance rather than a problem

The rip has bad cropping too, so if your re-encoding for whatever reason, best fix that too

The running time is shorter than the file time since the end of the rip has the opening credits for Axe on it. :wacky:

Hmmm....I might just grab this and did it myself....I can't watch anything with a AR fucked up like that...I am constantly bothered by that kind of shit and I'll just end up turning it off.Nice try though to ever the ripper is....He just needs to figure out the 16:9 button and the 4:3 button on gknot :wink:

Well...If I did pick it up its release wouldn't be for a few weeks anyway....I got serious backlog...and belive me..the movies that we got coming are better than this one as far as placing it in que for its release.I will put it in the collection though until I get it doen just so people can have a link.I'll just put a big fat warnng on it about the fucked AR.
