need to be quite an aficionado of the film to appreciate the helicopter and machete zombie

If you go to myspleen.net theres still an active torrent for the 3rd part. No luck on the first 2 tho.

And spud, yes i was missing about 800 blocks on the 2nd one.

Still, just have to wait for the NG repost.

ed2k links for the first 2 is a distinct possibility

I'd love a DVD-R torrent, especially of disc 1 (the composite version), only had
the german language composite print up to now

Cheers meedermow!

I'm grabbing the first 2 discs from rapidshare, i'll get the 2nd 2 when they're posted.

meedermow, In johnathome's post near the top, the first disc is listed as the ultimate
cut (a compsite of each of the different versions) but in your post the running time
of the first disc is 139mins, is this the standard extended/directors cut or a compsite print?
the german language composite print i already have is 156mins?

Hey see no evil,

Pay no heed to the above cover art (which, like I say, was hopeful to say the least!), the true release details are above in my first post.

The sync of disc 1 is to the "Director's Cut", untouched - no composite intrusion. That's no to say that this Ultimate Edition 2 won't sign off with the full composite edit of all existing material - but that would be one hell of a job, and would be many moons away yet!

#3 and #4 should be available via rapidshare very soon.

Cheers,

meedermow

meedermow, I suppose editing together all the clips wouldn't be that difficult, the
difficult part would be smoothing out the voice transitions with music or sound effects
playing in the background, and having to edit the music tracks longer to make up
for the extra clips. Ive messed about with voice/music seperation software before
but the results can be patchy at times.

I know for the german version they didn't have that problem as it was all redubbed
into german once the edit was finished. what would be really useful is a voice only
version of all 3 versions.

Indeed, just the issue I've found.

Vision - not too much of a problem.

Sound - a potential nightmare!

Who knows, maybe one day... :wacky:

For anyone who is interested, I'm attempting a DOTD composite edit using the
DOTD ultimate box set. I started on friday night and am now about 35mins in.
I'm frameserving the original DVD MPEG's to premiere, then exporting that back to
MPEG using CCE-SP2 so there is only one re-encoding which should keep any
degredation in quality from the original DVD's to a minimum. I'm keeping it
16:9 anamorphic widescreen as per the original DVD's with one Dolby Digital 2.0
audio track. if/when it's relased it'll be as a DL DVD (to keep the quality as
high as possible) on bittorrent.

I remember reading somewhere that the german composite has shots found in
no other version of dawn, apart from the argento, extended & theatrical
cuts + document of the dead, can anyone else suggest where else i might look
for source footage?
