Cult filmmaker Hisayasu Sato returned to a more horrific strain of pinku-eiga with this bloody softcore tale concerning the results of a new anaesthetic capable of turning pain into pleasure, with greater levels of pain heightening the sexual kick. Three young women act as guinea pigs for the experiment, with two becoming so excited that they engage in gruesome acts of self-mutilation. The motives of the third contain the story's more perverse revelations. This remake of Sato's own 1987 film Boko Honban contains one of the most appalling scenes in Japanese horror, with a young woman mutilating and eating her own body. Misa Aika stars with Sadao Abe, Mika Kirihara, and Yumika Hayashi.

Remember renting the above VHS years ago from local store and being quite shocked.

Naked Blood is one fierce movie. Definitely my hardcore jap gorefest of choice. Unlike the other infamous Jap splat movies, this one is (a) a real movie, and (b) totally exceeds its reputation for grossness.

Naked blood is a lovely piece of film, but I have the low quality one, is this much better? I think I'll grab this one as well if it's well shared.
