Amityville Dollhouse (1996)

Directed by Steve White
Written by Joshua Michael Stern
Cinematography by Thomas L. Callaway
Edited by Kert Vandermeulen
Music by Ray Colcord
Starring Robin Thomas, Starr Andreeff, etc.

IMDB

Plot Synopsis:
After filmmakers with varying degrees of talent managed to squeeze an unbelievable eight sequels out of the already-weak premise of the original Amityville Horror, the makers of this installment manage to go off on an even weirder tangent, with evil forces from the Long Island haunted house traipsing to yet another part of the world -- this time in a creepy little miniature replica. The dollhouse is well-constructed, and probably began life as a special-effects miniature from one of the previous films. Not one of the worst sequels, but unnecessary nonetheless; one can only hope that Amityville Dollhouse might finally encourage the film community to throw the last shovelful of dirt on this decaying concept and move on... a notion certainly shared by most moviegoers.

This alone makes the plot synopsis worthless to read. The sequels were all junk, agreed, but the original was great.

'Amityville' makes me think of 'The Entity'...
'The Entity' makes me think of the sounds that play when The Entity attacks...
The sounds of The Entity attacking make me think of 'Maximum Overdrive' and how the sounds of the entity attacking sound like the sounds that play when the trucks are attacking.

Conclusion:
The Entity and his friends were driving the trucks...
Aliens my ass.

I saw this one... this is one of the better films of the series...

To me the first three films were all terrible. Though the first one seemed scary to me when I saw it back at age 9. One of the first R-rated films I ever saw.

Number 3 sucked... I remember laughing my ass off when I saw the "demon" at the end.

1. The Amityville Horror (1979)
2. Amityville II: The Possession (1982)
3. Amityville III: The Demon (1983)
4. Amityville: The Evil Escapes (1989)
5. The Amityville Curse (1990)
6. Amityville 1992: It's About Time (1992)
7. Amityville: A New Generation (1993)
8. Amityville: Dollhouse (1996)
9. The Amityville Horror (2005)

It's number 8 in the row, John and for a long time it looked like it would be the last. But since we live in the time of the "Yes-another-remake-will-be-made"

This movie is not so bad, but I liked Critters 4, so who am I too judge
