Finally...

I can Confirm: these are the ENGLISH SUBS - - - Haute.Tension.2003.DVDRip.XviD_ZERO.rar

...and I'm currently sharing them on Release Priority.

And - thaks to Ursule on FH - now we have another Zero subpack, again with ENG and Korean Subs, but with a different file: zero-ht_Sub.rar

I know because I checked them yesterday :-)

This movie was posted on usenet (alt.korea.binaries.movies) midweek, and although I couldn't download it completely (missing archives plus no pars = pain in Irving's butt!) I was able to check the sample (which being en Francais, contrary to what the info said, tipped me off...)and the subs.

As to the cuts, well if you look at IMDB you'll notice it was rerated in Korea, which may or may not have led to a posting suggesting this on Mobius (http://www.mhvf.net).

BTW. I pulled down the zero sub-pack off edonkey, no worries, last night but I'll reshare if people need it badly.

So u confirm its CUT? i checked imdb and it seems both cut and uncut versions were released in south korea... so the dvd is cut afterall? thats bad

According to someone at FH who saw the ZERO release, it is CUT! However, someone posted an altered version of the English subs for ZERO's to fit the ULteam release which apparently is UNCUT.

So let's see what they are like...

I thought the only dvd avaiable was the one released in south korea, and checking at asiandvd.com it says the move runs 86min... imdb says 85min for the french cut?! so its supposed to be uncut...

Anyway, if someone's sure about the movie being cut or uncut or if both are cut or both uncut...please let us know... ihavent tried none of the versions yet...

There is a cut and an uncut version in Korea, I think the ZERO rip is from the cut one. The French ULteam DVD rip is uncut, try the English subs I posted with that one. Is that clear? :wacky:

The difference in length between the two files will no doubt be down to the FPS. The ULteam rip is 25 FPS and the ZERO rip is 22.47FPS when the files are checked with G Spot.

I'm going with the earlier rip as it was posted before the news about the Korean dvd being cut. Plus its been confirmed as uncut on this board.

The subs seem to work but I can only see them if I frameserve them in VirtualDub. Can't get any of my players to preview the file with the subs.

The ULteam rip has 750 sources!

IDX/SUB files should work well in Koalapayer.

The Zero release is definitely cut. A quick comparison of the Ulteam release with the zero one shows a severe cut at around the 24minute mark. I haven't checked further, but I'd assume its very heavily censored based on the fact that the murder at the point I've just referenced happens entirely offscreen on the Korean version. :-(

Shame really, as it looks the nicer of the two releases.

Yeah, but one comment says that this rip has both watermarks and an occasional scrolling message (like in the one in screeners) on the bottom of the screen.

Can anyone confirm that?

A preview shows that right at the start there's a very brief scrolling message at the bottom which is half cut off, but I can't see any watermarks. Image quality is good.
